DISCLAIMER: I do not own any of the assets in this port. I have received permissions from the original author to port this mod to SE (image-proof above). I will post the original description here with slight changes for SE users. Original mod can be found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52712

The Vanity mirror is an equip-able inventory item that will open the Limited Race Menu to allow you to make changes to your appearance, anywhere, anytime, at no cost. It is fast, easy, and safe.

One of the best features of Vanilla character creation is warpaint and, if you use mods such as RaceMenu or ECE, then overlays. However, the only way to change appearance is by using console commands (totally NOT immersive) or using the face sculptor in Riften.

Sure, ShowRaceMenu works, but for me it was a bit of a nuisance - open the console, type in the command and don't spell it wrong or you do it again, correct the changes that it made automatically to the face, make your changes, type in your character's name again and then exit back to the game.  I can't even count how many times I've done that, and as a modder you know we are always looking to get rid of things that annoy us. Of course, messing with your race in these menus can also reset perks and cause other issues mid-save, so why take the chance?

In creating this mod, RGMage2 browsed the Papyrus Wiki and found the ShowLimitedRaceMenu command. A partial solution to the problem, as it could open the character creation menu but only when the console command was run. So, a script was needed.

Thus, this mod was born from these revelations. A new item will be added to the game, the Vanity Mirror. Crafting it and equipping it will grant you the ability to change your appearance whenever you want, but only within the confines of the LimitedRaceMenu. No more spending boatloads of your hard-earned coin at the face sculptor in the Ragged Flagon. An immersive solution to a minor annoyance!

Craftable at the forge under jewelry, you will need 1 firewood, 1 leather strip, 2 refined malachite, and 5 glass.

Merely equipping the item will activate the limited character creation menu. You can also favorite it, which makes it more convenient. It will open the menu on equip or unequip. This is feature, not a bug.

It works with both the Vanilla menu as well as Expired's RaceMenu. When equipped, it uses no slots (since it does not physically appear on your person), so it should be compatible with mods that add armor for new slots, including cloaks/capes, bandoliers, and other accessories.

If you use the mod Abandoned Prison Tweaks SE by bernardtp, you will have a duplicate Vanity Mirror in your game, but it shouldn't break anything if you use both. For users of ASLAL, I actually recommend that mod instead since it includes this one by default, without crafting tweaks.

A reproducible CTD can occur if you use the mirror before creating your character. This mostly applies for those of us who often test their mods by using command such as "coc qasmoke" from the main menu. This should be a non-issue if you use this mod on a serious playthrough, but please let me know.
