Apologies for the late notice on this. It occurred to me this morning, after release, that there IS a circumstance where you do not want to apply QRVAE over an existing save game that used base VAE, and that is if you ever looted the sword from the urn added to the enchanter's room in Dragonsreach (named "PSN" in base VAE) or disenchanted it for the poison enchant. If you did so, applying QRVAE *could* do damage to your save game. This is due to the steps that were necessary to convert the VAE plugin to an ESPFE. If you ever looted that sword, I recommend waiting for a new game to install QRVAE. If you never looted that sword, then you'll be fine.
No it doesn't mean it can't be installed that error means you have to have the original mod installed and activated or else this mod will not install. If you installed the original mod and then the update, it deactivates the esp in your mod load order. Check to see if it's in your load order and deactivated, then try installing QRVAE again.
How is compatibility with other mods? Say, a mod was installed that changed a unique weapon's enchantment or edited data for one of the base game's playable enchantments. Would the mods work together?
I second this. In particular, the soul trap effect is so large and bright that if you're in a dark room you can't see anything. If nothing else, a way to reduce the intensity of the effect would be great.

This should be merged with the Summermyst patch or stickied on this page.
