  • The current version of this mod (3) is a placeholder version, until the new Zombie models are ready. However, it has a quality placeholder, as can be seen in the photos on this page, and the mod is perfectly functional, with the creatures already implemented in the final format that will be available in the definitive version (4). I recommend that you use this temporary version until the final one is ready, as it will only replace the Zombies models, as all the mechanics, as mentioned, are already implemented;
  • If you use, like and value my work, please consider giving an endorsement. I've worked hard for years to offer you the best of me for free, and the only thing I ask in return is this gesture, which increases my relevance and engagement on Nexus, and motivates me to continue;
  • I do not inspect or have any influence over translations of my mods (including those linked directly on my pages), nor do I have any power over patches or add-ons made to my content. So, before using any unofficial add-ons for my mods, make sure they conform to the latest version of my official release, and never use these if they don't. The same applies to Xbox ports;

"Zombies are rotten corpses magically reanimated by an unnatural force, usually through the agency of a necromancer. They are found in dark and unhealthy underground places such as sewers, abandoned forts, halls of the dead, catacombs, caverns, and they can also naturally be found in cemeteries. They are indeed nothing more than mindless corpses raised to mindlessly do their master's bidding, and unlike Draugr, they usually have no soul, conscience, personality, or will of their own, though some might possess those attributes in a fragmented way. However, it is to be noted that "fresh" Zombies, reanimated shortly after, or even immediately after death, tend to possess a greater portion of their original souls, but which end up fading away over time, in this decaying and aggravating state of putrefaction. On certain occasions, Zombies who were slaves to something or someone are freed from the magical chains that bind them, for different reasons, and these "free" Zombies often roam around without a master, moaning and attacking nearby living creatures in unexpected places.

In appearance, Zombies are usually naked, rotting bodies exhibiting severe injuries, and compound fractures, and because their reckless nature due to lack of a mind, they continually damage themselves while patrolling their lairs, often losing limbs, even their heads, until they often become just a torso unable to move, at which point they are usually destroyed by the necromancers, or used in the creation of even more abominable things, such as Flesh Golems made from putrefied corpses.
All zombies are covered in maggot infestations and their smell is nauseating and can be detected long before they are even spotted. Some are even covered in a green haze of putrefied and cursed substances, and inhaling them can cause the disease known as Astral Vapors, as well as causing mild poisoning upon contact with the bloodstream.
These astral vapors clearly appear to be much more than simple putrefaction vapor, as they ably regenerate the life of Zombies surrounded by them, giving the walking corpses extra resistance, and even slightly protecting them from magic, but, like all Zombies or Wights, they are severely weak against fire. All of them can also cause the well-known Zombie Fever, a dangerous disease.

Whether by magical induction, or the very unnatural and cursed nature of undead existence, and possibly due to both, Zombies are extremely aggressive and will attack without a second thought any invader that enters their domain. It is known that it is the magical induction that revives them that also prevents the Zombies from attacking their own puppet masters, but there are cases in which the barriers were broken and these ended up being devoured by their putrid creations. It is even known that Zombies have a predilection for human flesh, especially brains, and will not hesitate to devour their victims, not even bothering to kill them first.

The Draugr do not allow the presence of Zombies inside their Nordic tombs, due to their rotten nature which can attract scavengers and Necrophages, and some scholars speculate that this fact is the reason why the Draugr choose to use their reanimated victims in the form of lesser skeletal servants instead of the form of Zombies. Despite that fact, a Skeleton is still commonly just another type of mindless servant, while Draugrs are, always, cursed, sentient undead, classifiable in the Wight category rather than Zombie."

A former monster hunter, now a dedicated scholar, he is planned to be released as an NPC in late 2022/early 2023, doing the same job in-game as my descriptions do on Nexus.)

- 8 new creatures: Zombie, Headless Zombie, Dread Zombie, Dread Headless Zombie, Deranged Zombie (2 Variants), Deranged Headless Zombie (2 variants);

- 1 new ingredient: Mort Flesh;

2 new diseases: Zombie Fever (in game description- "The contact between the necrotic tissue of zombies and your bloodstream causes a bacterial infection that impairs the regeneration of your stamina."); Astral Vapors (in game description- "Inhaling the putrefied and cursed vapors that surround a zombie is enough to damage your magical abilities, albeit on a small scale.").

So far no incompatibilities have been found between this mod and other mods.
(OBS- If by chance when installing several of Mihail's mods at the same time you are asked about files overwriting those of other Mihail mods or other authors mods, don't worry because they are just the same files shared between mods. I recommend that on these occasions always give preference to the files contained in my mods, and among mine always give preference to the mod you are installing last.)

The Mihail Monsters and Animals series aims to create and make available to the community the most complete set of creatures for TES 5: Skyrim, implemented in an immersive and unique way, with respect to the pillars of lore. Instead of pathetically just throwing models and textures in the game reusing 100% vanilla mechanics, the creatures made by Mihail have uniqueness and extreme zeal in their idealization and implementation, which will provide you with an experience that you have never had before in this area.

Some assets used on this mod belong to:
Colin.Greenall- the current version (3) uses a placeholder until my new Zombie models are ready. The placeholder is a model and texture created by the mentioned author. The loot model (Mort Flesh), is also authored by the aforementioned, and will possibly be maintained even after my new zombie models are ready for version 4. This zombie model however, due to its undeniable quality, will certainly be reused by me later on some other type of undead.
