Thanks for the great work. I realy like that you can create your own slots. Would it be possible to add an ini file to the mod so that adjusting the settings is easier and people can share their presets?
I'm using this with the Constellations collection, and it likes to drop float, spectral daedric swords instead of real items when I'm overloaded. I notice in particular when it tries to drop arrows or bolts.
Update: It's actually WHENEVER I pick up arrows or bolts, even if I'm not overloaded with arrows, even if arrows and bolts sizes are zero both stowed and equipped, even with the capacity maxed out.
So could I run this on top of Hardcore Capacity? Like, set that mod as a lower limit so you can have a soft cap where you no longer can use your hands but if you go up to your mod's limit then you start dropping stuff? I really like the ability to go over my actual limit with consequences but also feel like at some point you literally would run out of space. I guess realistically I would set this mod to 1 limit higher than HC so it's like you're out of pack space and carrying so many things in your hands you start dropping them.
Been running into a crash: 1. Enter a container menu (chest, body, etc.) 2. Loot something I can't take, so that it falls. 3. Switch to my inventory, and attempt to scroll through items.
Shortly after switching menus, the game crashes reliably, at least for me. I do have a pretty full load order, so it might be some weird conflict, somewhere.
Fantastic news! I have returned to try the mod again with the new RAB Inventory Limits - Tweaks mod and my repeatable crash has been eliminated! I can finally use this mod. Happy day! Now I just need to figure out why updating powerofthree's Tweaks or powerofthree's Papyrus Extender makes my game crash... there's always something lol
Edit: Figured this out a while back but figured I'd post it. I was on SKSE 2.00.17 which caused my game to crash when updating powerofthree's Tweaks or powerofthree's Papyrus Extender. Updating it to SKSE 2.00.19 resolved the issue. Didn't know a new version had come out at the time.
This mod has a greeat concept but the default preset is basically nightmare mode, anyone have some decent settings for a difficult run but not an impossible one? Also how do i get rid of the limits on arrows, bolts and potions? Im not sure if i understand the settings.
Just found a very hard incompatibility with Honed Metal. Because Honed Metal puts materials in your inventory when youre going to ask to upgrade equipment this mod makes them all drop in front of you.
Check the bugs tab, this was listed as a bug that was Fixed in the most recent version: "New in v2.05: The mod will not drop anything picked up, if its quantity is 50. Why? Honed Metal adds ingots/materials to the player, 50 at a time, causing the chaos above. It's a janky workaround, but it'll let you use Honed Metal without setting the sliders to 0, and without causing materials to go flying all over."
Are you using the most recent version of both mods?
I like this mod but am having a few issues trying to add backpacks. I half get the SSEEdit process, having found the keywords. But when I try to add the keywords as instructed I'm getting hit with error messages.
The mods I am trying to add are leather backpacks and Ugly backpacks - any help much appreciated! If anyone can explain in more detail for one of them hopefully i'll be able to edit the other mod myself (and learn for next time!).
In order to add a backpack to a formid list you first have to add the plugin (esp) as a master to the plugin where the formid is. Once you do that (AND save your changes in xedit) then you'll be able to add the backpacks.
The maximum slider option in the MCM for the base capacity is set to 150 via the MCM script. So if you open it and try to change it to another number, it will change from 220 (what's in the esp) to 150 (the maximum allowed in the MCM script):
Just wanted to "upvote" this comment -- really hoping this gets fixed as I otherwise love this mod but do feel that I need more space (or really need to bring the space down on several objects to make my particular playthrough possible).

elseif(FoundOptionCat=="SlotOption_BaseCapacity")
SetSliderDialogStartValue(RABInv_PlayerScriptReference.RABInv_Slot_BaseCapacity[FoundOptionID])
SetSliderDialogRange(0, 150)
You'll need to change that 150 to something like 500 and recompile the script if you want to go above 220 in the game.
