When the MCM isn't working for some reason here is a solution..

    Spoiler:
    Show
    1. Make sure you have the latest version of SkyUI ans SKSE installed. (If not, upgrade them before installing any mod which has an option on skyui mcm menu)

    2. If you have 'Lanterns of Skyrim' already installed, just use these two commands to stop the scripts and ready to uninstall the mod:
    stopquest mannylos_quest
    stopquest mannylos_mcm

    3. Save and exit the game.

    4. Uninstall 'Lanterns of Skyrim' through NMM or manually.

    5. Start the game, make a new clean save now without 'Lanterns of Skyrim' and exit the game.

    6. Install the new version of 'Lanterns of Skyrim' using NMM or manually.

    7. Start the game and check if you have LoS and its options on the menu. If you see the options and lanterns work well then it's done, otherwise close the mcm menu, open command console and enter these two commands:
    startquest mannylos_quest
    startquest mannylos_mcm

Re-open the mcm menu and you should have the 'Lanterns of Skyrim' on your menu.

Hi guys, I made and added 2 new patches for Lanterns of Skyrim MCM version in my WiZkiD patches Compendium, the FOMOD installer (ESP and ESL version) can be downloaded here https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/24046

Lanterns of Skyrim MCM version -- Skyrim Bridges 3.2 -- Blowing in the Wind SSE 2.04.0 (This patch fix the position of all the poles, lanterns and lights near the bridges modified by Skyrim Bridges to avoid conflicts with Lanterns of Skyrim and also add the Blowing in the Wind "movable by the wind" feature to all the lanterns from both mods. It should be works even with the classic non MCM version of Lanterns of Skyrim.)

Lanterns of Skyrim MCM version -- Skyrim Bridges 3.2 (This patch fix the position of all the poles, lanterns and lights near the bridges modified by Skyrim Bridges to avoid conflicts with Lanterns of Skyrim. It should be works even with the classic non MCM version of Lanterns of Skyrim.)

As usual, @toostruus is free to include them in the official download page, I hope you like this little add

Everything turned out to be simpler, I still have the JK Skyrim mod; the patch from wizkid34 did not help to get rid of 2 lights, it turned off the lights in the villages and everything became just gorgeous. I want to thank the mod, the mod is really good, thanks.

Hi, I don't see an option for Rudy + NAT. Would the Obsidian file be fine? Do you recommend the brighter option? Thanks

BTW I can use this with JK Skyrim or ELFX Exteriors? Is either recommended though even if they are compatible?

Is the preset intended for ELFX base or exteriors or weathers?

You can use LoS with ELFX exteriors. If there are conflicts you can just disable Lanterns on roads in MCM. I don't use ELFX Exteriors so i'm not sure about it.
There was is a patch on Oldrim. Just resave it in CK. And see how it turns out.
      https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65580

JKSkyrim shouldn't be a problem. I never heard of any issues with it. Personaly, i only use JK Riverwood and Whiterun/Outskirts with no issues at all.
Wish JK came with seperate City's.
EDIT:: Use JKs Skyrim_No Lights_Patch. Can be found on the JK's Skyrim page. Sets JK's Skyrim lightsources back to vanilla so you can use other lightmods like LoS.

The preset for ELFX was made with ELFX installed. Just to match the ELFX light colors.

Check Wizkid's Patches Compendium. He provides a lot of LoS patches and still updating.

With regards to ELFX, so that's just intended for the base ELFX version? weathers and or exteriors modules are not required?

I just use ELFX base + enhancer... I use a different mod for weathers and an ENB... would I still want this preset?

Also do rudy's obsidian versions works as intended on other weather mods? I don't use Obsidian.

and I spoke to WiZkiD, JK skyrim is nearly fully compatible with lanterns of skyrim and doesn't need the no lights patch. It just needs one of wiz's patches to resolve a small conflict in Riverwood, but no other issues.

You don't need ELFX at all for the preset. It was just made with ELFX installed. The presets are just tweaked lights. That's all. Great about JK'. Good to hear and i thought so

You can also try the "tweaked normal" version of LoS. I use it with ELFX base and enhancer. No presets needed

So, this mod causes me to not be able to load my saves. Pretty sure it is a conflict but no idea which of my 200 mods is causing it

EDIT: To be clear I mean saves made with this mod installed

I doubt that this is the cause of LoS - mcm. Never heard of such a thing with LoS - mcm.
What is your mod list and load order.

Is there any reason why someone would want the 6.0 hotfix ESL file instead of just doing a replace install of the main file? Does 7.0 require a clean save?

Beacause hotfix is just a patch. It only changes Lantern Flagged as...
7.0 is the complete mod. With all worldspaces etc...I don't really know if it would harm your game to update to 7.0.
That is why i provided a patch. You don't have to re-run Dyndolod as an example. I think it is much safer midgame to install the hotfix.
I have the hotfix installed myself. But when i someday start a new game then i will update to 7.0
