I still don't get it. What happens when I randomise Encounter Level? Does this mean Encounter Level does get randomised at my first visit or just after the first clearing of the dungeon?
So what settings with Encounter Zones Unlocked would work best with this mod? So far I disabled the disable setting and tweaked the scale settings. I assume that would work well.
Actually, I was wondering if these two would not cause a conflict. I am possibly too dumb to figure out the finer differences, so I for now I'll choose zone magic for it brings surprises when I enter some location a dungeon a second time. It affects ANY locations, open-air ones, Valtheim for example, did I get it ritght?
exterior cells don't inherit encounter zones from their locations, so places like valtheim won't be affected unless you use something like MEZF or my patcher (may have issues) that explicitly add encounter zones to said cells. keep in mind that this approach can cause problems with enemy AI!
if someone's willing to compile this with CommonLibVR and make sure things are working, yes. but i can't really do that, sorry! (also sorry for the months-late reply)
You've probably already tested this out but for anyone else wondering - yes, this should work with regular plugins that affect encounter zones. It may conflict with mods that use script extender plugins to change those records during gameplay.
Thank you for telling me about your mod on Reddit (I was Webmetz).I upvoted and endorsed your mod.I recommend updating the title if possible.
I recommend updating it to "Zone Magic - Unlock Cleared Encounter Zones".
The keyword 'Encounter' probably has a higher search rate than 'zone'.The keyword 'Unlock' (or just lock) probably has a high search rate too. If you update it more people will come across your wonderful mod.
I have really liked adding the (SJG) Omega - MLU with SkyRe Encounter Zones to my ever growing mod list. Looking at the mod page it states that the EZs are "Static." I would believe that adding your mod would make dungeons harder for the next time I enter a previously cleared dungeon without changing what Omega has done for the main game. Without this mod every time I would enter said dungeon it would be just as hard/easy as the first time. Figured It would be the same settings as you suggested for "Encounter Zones Unlimited." Is this correct?
As you mentioned "Encounter Zones Unlocked", I wonder if they can work together or is it better to stick with just one? I don't care about the level the first time in the dungeon, but I think it's important that the following visits match my level.
I wouldn't say they work particularly well together. This mod does similar things to Unlocked, it's just more conditional.
If you just use my mod, you can set it like this: Min level: don't modify Max level: unlimited Enc. level: reset to zero
If you clear a dungeon and return to it, it should match your level if it's above the minimum. The limitations, however, are: There are a handful of dungeons this mod won't affect. The level will be locked again until you clear the dungeon again.

Does the latest version work for Skyrim 1.5.97?
- leave Unlocked's settings to their defaults
- let this mod handle the min/max but not the current level
So you'd still keep leveling within a zone's range, but by clearing the location could increase that range.I am possibly too dumb to figure out the finer differences, so I for now I'll choose zone magic for it brings surprises when I enter some location a dungeon a second time.

Caution, caution, caution.
