Version 3.00 fixes alcohol hangovers not working. If you are updating from prior versions, please disable and reenable drug toxicity in mcm after updating.
As of 2021, support for the mod is indefinitely on hiatus as I have little motivation to work on it, considering that there have been other survival mods released recently, that in my opinion, are better-made.
That does not mean this mod is broken or buggy, so feel free to continue using the mod.
The mod is compatible with the AE update and the new version of survival mode. I am looking to see if theres any further changes to be made.
Survival Mode Improved vs Conner's Survival Mode -Seasons mechanic. Use SMI if you want seasonal climates.. -(slightly) harsher penalties -More intelligent cold system. -No drug mechanic, great for compatibility. -Colin is a cooler dude than connerria.
-In-depth vampire/werewolf/lich handling. -MCM switches for stuff like healthregen/disablefasttravel. -Drug mechanic, good if you like what I did, not good for compatibility. -Shrine disease mechanic rework, good if you like what I did, bad if you dont. -Forgiving penalties. -Malaise mechanic.
Honestly both mods are pretty similar at core in what they want to accomplish, with the difference being in the details. Both mods make survival less tedious. SMI is more streamlined while Conner's is a bit more feature-dense (this can be a good or bad thing depending on whether you like what I do). Bear in mind that my mod was made in 2018 and it is "of its time:". I was working with the scope that survival mode had, in the mod scene that 2018 had. We didnt have great things like Survival Control Panel and cohesive overhauls like Apothecary and Pilgrim, so the features I included were more meaningful and necessary than they are in 2022.
Minor Suggestion: Since this is reliant on the CC survival, and CC Survival can be toggled, could I request a patch that actually disables the Needs while the toggle is off. Thanks!
Did you ever find an answer to this? It seams to me something has broken. If leaving Helgen I select no in the survival pop up window: I can't get survival mode to activate at all. If I select yes, then I can never deactivate survival.
EDIT: Found my issue and resolved. I noticed my in game menu also wouldn't allow me to change my difficulty from novice. Enter SkyUI SE- Difficulty Persistence Fix Solved both issues I've described.
Is there a way to change the settings via INI or by Console if don't have MCM?
"Controversial survival mode features such as lowered carryweight, no health regen and no fast travel are now toggleable in mcm. These features largely depend on player preference, so I give players the choice."
Haven't tested werewolves yet, but Vampire settings seemed to only apply after going into The MCM and selecting the one I want (Unnatural). Once it kicked in, got a message about being undead. However, bonuses do not match up with the description. Vampire warmth bonus is only 50, not 75, and fatigue buildup is only 25% slower, not 50. I have no other mods affecting survival mode. Is this a bug or is the description outdated?
Malaise lasts for a few ingame hours, and when it should be gone the scripts will detect and remove it. If malaise is stuck it probably means your game has lagging scripts. Disabling and reenabling survival mode should fix it.
Hey, I know it's been years, but what command did you use to delete it? I tried to do the same thing many times and failed. Any chance you remember it?
If you're using Campfire and the Survival Mode Patch 3 which allows warmth from campfires you create then you have to put this mod above the survival mode patch but after Campfire.
So Campfire complete camping system > Conners survival > survival mode patch collection 3 in load order and plugins order. Works perfect after setting those right. I spent hours working on this so hopefully this helps someone down the line.

Edit: This is what I mean, it only happens when I use skooma, I suspect ENB is responsible:
Edit: I'm dumb, it was only a temporary effect, was too quick to jump to conclusions.
