About this mod

Adds a chance that guards will spawn with sleeves and/or fur gauntlets. Probability changes based on general climate of their hold. Same mod as the one for non-SE Skyrim. Turns out it works on SE so I thought I'd upload it here, too.

This is a re-upload of my Sleeves for Guards mod for non-Special Edition Skyrim. Someone asked if I could port it to SE, turns out it worked with no changes necessary. Thought I'd upload it again here for anyone who only looks at the Special Edition Nexus.

I found the mesh for Stormcloak armor with sleeves when I was looking through the data files. Just for fun I decided to put it to use. I highly doubt I'm the only one who's made this sort of thing before, but I figured I'd upload it anyway.

All this mod does is use the unused mesh for Stormcloak armor with long sleeves in new armors for hold guards and Stormcloaks. Now they'll sometimes spawn with a long-sleeved version of their usual armor. They also have an equal chance of spawning with fur gauntlets, as some holds didn't have gauntlets in their guard outfits. Both of these use the same probability but aren't on the same list, so some guards will have just gauntlets, some will have just sleeves, and some will have both.

Probability breaks down like this:

  • Dawnstar - 90%
  • Falkreath - 50%
  • Markarth - 25%
  • Morthal - 75%
  • Riften - 25%
  • Solitude - 50%
  • Whiterun - 50%
  • Windhelm - 50%
  • Winterhold - 90%

I also made patches so it works with Winter is Coming and Cloaks of Skyrim, which are what I use for cloaks, as well as USSEP. I might make more, but updating this and the SE version while also juggling the FOMOD stuff means it'll take a bit.

INSTALLATION:
Just drop the .esp file in the data folder, which should be wherever you installed the game. If you're on Steam it's probably something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim Special Edition.
