Thanks for making this - need to echo the feedback about that one texture though; besides the odd dimensions/no mipmap, my .NET framework log indicate it was part of a CTD. Snippet from log:
Should pair well with: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/25597 Tho might require regenerating the facegen data to get them to work together
Wow! This works great, my character now doesn't look like a grizzled 90 year old who couldn't lift a sword to save his life. He's morphed into a cool middle aged dude.Very good, nice work. Now my guy can hit on Ysolda without feeling like a dirty old man.
I am, by no means, an expert with textures. That siad: With Gimp, when you export as a dds, did you try to generate the new mipmaps? Also, the femalheadetail_age40.dds is 513 x 512, showing no compression used. (DXT1 is the original at 1024 x 1024).
I think this is a good idea, but needs a little fine tuning.
lack of mipmap can potentially induce flickers at long range, and grainy look at medium range, i suggest you to find a way to add them back. I dont know how skyrim handle the face but the landscape suffers from thoses issues. It wont be noticeable without anisotropic filter thoo. But who plays without anisotropic.

\textures\actors\character\female\femaleheaddetail_age40.dds
- Dimensions must be divisible by 4 (currently 513x512).
