This mod adds a scripted Alduin attack on player location within a configurable timeframe.

Installation

Place the following files into your data folder or install with your mod manager of choice.

SkyrimNightmare.bsa
SkyrimNightmare.esl

Load order should not matter. As this is an ESL, it will load with your master files.

To uninstall, remove the above files and revert to a save prior to installing Skyrim Nightmare. You can also try to clean your save with FallrimTools, however this method will not be supported.


Compatibility

Alduin will attack in any outdoor world spaces. I believe that this should include mod-added world spaces (confirmation required).
Mods altering Alduin's appearance or enhancing dragon combat are compatible.
This will not conflict with other world encounter mods.


Details

Attacks start once you complete the quest 'Dragon Rising'. You can install this mod after completing Dragon Rising or with a mod that allows you to skip Dragon Rising and it will work normally.

Alduin will leave the battle after a short time. If Alduin dies, his body will be reborn somewhere else (i.e. this will not break the main quest).

He can bring the following allies and will leave them behind when he retreats:

  • 0 to 20 Attronachs
  • 0 to 20 Daedra
  • 0 to 5 Dragons
  • 0 to 20 Draugr
  • Extra Undead

Attacks will occur every 3 to 40 minutes (configurable via MCM).When Alduin is defeated, attacks will stop.
