Users of version 0.1 do not need to update to version 0.2. All it includes is a new BSA for the loose files.

''YO, DUDE! Can just chill out and leave me alone for FIVE F*CKING MINUTES?! I'm trying to do a side quest, I'm not even being a threat to your plan of eating the world right now!'' (???)

is this mod ok to go with diverse dragon collections and KS dragon overhaul 2, both of which has a timer
maybe you should allow those random attacks to be replaced by this mod occasionally or tie the attack event frequency to those mods.

In my opinion, this mod needs a complete overhaul. The concept is great, but the implementation leaves a lot to be desired. I am leaving this mod up for those that want what it offers and don't mind its limitations, but with the appropriate skill set I would, without hesitation, go back and rework this mod to work a lot more like classic random encounters, likely using a mod like More Werewolves as my template.

I am currently working on other projects and this mod is currently feature-complete, so if I get back to it, it may be released as a new mod. I am glad so many people are enjoying it and I hope that they continue to do so. It certainly adds a good feeling of dread to the game and, as it doesn't edit vanilla assets, it is compatible with everything, though remember if you get more scripts going than your computer can handle, you will still have issues.

Anyone who wishes to release script edits or compatibility patches to integrate other mod's content into this one is more than welcome to do so and, if you PM me, I would be more than happy to work them into the main mod.

well i'm no mod author, nor do I know papyrus scripting, but I'm good with gameplay design and balance.

The first and most glaring issue is the potential deaths of npcs. no npcs means it's harder to gear up to deal with alduin. It's a negative feedback loop, and making everyone essential is a horrible solution.

The most obvious solution would be to have him focus on guards and the player when attacking, but there may be a more interesting solution.

Perhaps when appearing, instead of fighting, he should shoot his "slenn tiid vo" at the ground, summoning a skeleton dragon that will turn into an ordinary leveled dragon with a soul if not interrupted. I'm not sure how the game determines where to spawn dragons in the base game, but perhaps in each town there should be a marked location where there's enough room to spawn a dragon. Might want to assign two locations actually, that way he can summon two dragons once the player reaches a certain level.

Then the fight is against that dragon while alduin provides some backup by shooting the dismay shout, as well as targeting npcs with a modified, no-damage version of ice form that essentially just paralyzes them for a bit. When he leaves, he flies away, then you hear alduin's "ven mul riik" and the whole place fills with fog as a final middle finger to the town.

Essentially this would be a somewhat enhanced difficulty version of an ordinary dragon attack: no more likely to kill off npcs, but still setting dire circumstances that create a harder combat experience and set the mood well.

Part of the point of moving to a radiant encounter model is to improve integration into the game and reduce scripting. Heavily scripted fights like the described are prone to breaking and are highly incongruous with the base game's content.

There are radiant dragon spawns in cities in the base game, though they are rare in some cities. The solution to this is a mod like Run for your Lives or Immersive Citizens that causes non-combat NPCs to run from vampires, werewolves, dragons and other enemies that they have no business fighting.

So does this work alongside Diverse Dragons? Or will this mod spawn vanilla dragons instead of the overhaul?

I know this thing's been all but abandoned, but does anyone know how I can modify this to like, have a longer respawn time? 40 minutes is... way too often.

Looks like your done with this mod, but this looks amazing.

Unfortunately "every 3 to 40 minutes" looks impossible for me, since I play a very intense high damage difficulty playthrough.

It would be nice if I could adjust it to happen randomly once every couple weeks in game where Alduin just shows up, wrecks everything for a period of time (5-10 minutes in-game) then leaves, so you can't kill him but he can mess things up.

Not sure if you'll read this but this sounds awesome.

I have a couple questions real quick
    1. Are these random attacks or do they occur at specific locations
    2. Why does it need SKSE and SkyUI? I would prefer to not use SkyUI because I prefer the original menu instead.

1st interaction with this mod: Am a vampire, on the road to a military camp to feed on a sleeping soldier in order to reduce the debuff from the sun and *just as I arrive* Alduin and two dragons show up and start wrecking everything up, and in order to survive, I have to use the 1-per-day seduction power, which I planned to save for later. And I only manage to kill the two dragons after they killed everything in a 10 miles radius. Why wasn't this mechanic already in the base game?

This mod is awesome! I hope we can set time spawn attack on near future...

    Thanks for your work!
