    Hello to the community.
    I'm having a problem which seems strange, so please don't treat me as a dumb, while it's really what I feel to be now.
    It seems that I cna't activate any papyrus log, because I have several inis, in which I have put the famous activation commands but it isn't logging anything.
    If it is activated, where do I find the logs ? In the SKYRIM game directory ?
    Or somewhere else ?
    Thanks for any help.

    Ok, I'm getting a stack dump\CTD.  Looking at my Papyrus, does it look like Dual Sheath Redux is causing this?

      Check the requirements and the description. It's a powershell script. So you just run it using powershell, which is part of Windows.

      I think he ment you must have logging enabled or this tool will not even work as it reads the papyrus logs. Without logging you will have empty log files.

      And How did this tool let you know you had a mesh issue? This is for overloaded scripting engin issues or scripts that are stuck in endless loops that bog down the engin causing dumps. Did a script point to.a mesh or something? I am confused on this.

      because when i crash the tool shows 0 of these NUMBER OF DUMPS, NUMBER OF STACKS n AVG STACKS/DUMP.
      and because i've been narrowed it down to either scripts or mesh. so with this tool i know it is the meshes somewhere r bad and not scripts going wacko.

      Ahh, ok I follow your logic now. You are stating that because you crash and do not see any dumps or script issues therefore it has to be a bad mesh. That is assuming the game can not crash for any other reason ofc other than scripts or meshes, but in your case if you narrowed it down to a script or a mesh then ya, it must be a mesh :)

      If you are sure it is a mesh now, I would start by thinking about your load order and ANY mods that were converted from Oldrim would be a good place to start to make sure all those meshes were updated properly. You will ofc need to load meshes into Nifscope to properly see if they were converted correctly. So hopefully you can narrow it down to a few mods as opening up tons of meshes to check if they were updated will be annoying.

      Yes very. :( First thing i did was verify all the oldrims mods i use. Mostly Amidianborn, I scanned the textures with the most recent NifOptimizer, no issues, i made sure i am not using any of the variants (ones needing esp) just the replacer. Other day i spent all day going through almost each mods meshes looking for a culprit. Then yesterday I was running around and noticed how my Giants were not attacking me when i attacked them. So I went n checked the only mod modifying em; Wild World 1.28... Checked on the mods page, a warning mentioning it CTDs peoples games super often outside... *facepalm* you've gotta be kidding me... I update to v1.30 which says it fixes this, do a full saveclean procedure waiting in qasmoke 31 days and all (based on STEP). giants are working again (flew a few miles in the air) and I haven't CTD yet. Yes many hours of looking for a mesh when it was highly possibly that a package issue with Wild World :O Wild World doesn't use scripts, nor meshes nor textures, just a esp. a few tweaks, but has a package in the .esp called WWWanderlust, it seems it was causing these CTDs.

    Really liking this. Been using it over the last few days and I have to say it has helps me find some issues and when I have gotten a dump, I exit game, archive the log file to examine it, then reload last save and continue on. Playing this way I will ensure I always have saves that have never had a suspended scripting engine to mess up my saves or damage a mod.
    Get dump, exit game, reload last save, play on, analyze dump later to evaluate potential issues. Lovein this tool.

      Well, start by reading the message: "Count of suspended stacks is over our warning threshold". So this stack dump is just a warning that something may be wrong.

      What you can do now is examine the logfile, find the stack dumps, and see what scripts they are running. That can give you an indication of which mod might be causing problems. Skyrim can handle a LOT of active scripts at once though (I've seen over 100,000 in one save, as opposed to Fallout 4 which gives up somewhere under 300). So if it were me, I probably wouldn't be too worried.

      @markdf Isn't Fallout 4 based on the "updated" engine?
      Why is it so terrible with scripts?

      It's actually MUCH better about scripts. The Papyrus engine in Fallout 4 is more reliable, more powerful, and more stable. But yes, it does have a much lower ceiling on the maximum number of ActiveScripts. I would say it's a fair tradeoff.

      Right click and select "Run with PowerShell" and start the game.
      If you don't have that option, you need to install PowerShell first. It's part of Windows since Win7 though.
