Guys. If you want to use AdditemMenu then there's a quick and easy fix- all you need to do is remove the translation files : AddItemMenuSE_english, AddItemMenuSE_japanese and AddItemMenuSE_russian from the Interface>Translations folder and then install AddItemMenu - NG. This way the mod will function properly as it should.

Sorry, I might be being a bit stupid, but where can I find the folder you mentioned? (Interface>Translations) Is it with SSEEdit or in the mod files themselves? Or is it somewhere completely different?

FANTASTIC ! - I deleted the 3 translation files, and added the 2 NG SKSE files, zipped the revised folder and bingo, a working AddItemMenu. May I suggest you ask the original modders if you can submit your complete updated working version to Nexus for all the other poor souls who have suffered. @mangozaki you can delete the translation file after installing the mod. And then install https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/71409 and set the load order below this mod.
You don't have to unzip any folders in this procedure (at least if you use 7Zip) 2. In AddItemMenu.7z, DELETE the folder: Interface ⦁ In AddItemMenu.7z /SKSE/plugins, DELETE the 2 files: ⦁AddItemMenuSE.dll ⦁AddItemMenuSE.ini 3. Copy or Drag FROM AddItemMenu-NG.7z SKSE/plugins TO AddItemMenu SKSE/plugins the 2 files: ⦁AddItemMenuSE.dll ⦁AddItemMenuSE.toml 4. Using your mod manager e.g. Vortex. Install AddItemMenu
This gives you a single file combining the original AddItemMenu by towawot, combined with the SE benefits of AddItemMenu-NG by DarkMatterValkyrie plus the Breakthrough advice of KingVario that gets AddItemMenu working again. Credit and respect to all three.
HOWERVER, after using the spells or the items, the menu after seems to be invisible. The game stops just like it does normally when opening an inventory, and when i press TAB to close it, the game is freed from that frozen state. I reinstalled SkyUI and the JContainers multiple times since i thought that would be the problem. But it's still not working. i am just writing here, in hope someone else had the same issue and might have an idea what the culprit was

Does not work with latest AE version unfortunately, and the NG version (and the proposed fix in comments) does not work either. The Additems spheres appear but can't be activated, and the spells don't show up in game at all. Bummer, b/c this was my fave way to search for things I didn't know I needed.
After I did the big mistake of updating my game, I had a lot of crashes directly after the logo and wasn't sure what was the reason.
Hours of trial and error and I removed AddItemMenu and AddItemMenu NG and finally the game stopped crashing. So if anyone stumbles upon this comment while trying to figure out why the game crashes. It might be AddItemMenu/NG , for some reason it doesn't work with the latest Skyrim SE.

seems alot of people are having the same issue i am. every time i use the mod on my game, the menu doesnt pop up when i use it (though thankfully the game doesnt freeze). Can you please update the mod so it works again?

Can someone help? I've done everything, but when I press shout, nothing happens. My character glows, which means the shout works, but nothing shows up? My game doesn't even freeze. It just doesn't work
First open up AddItem Menu Search. - Search for the item you want. - When the container window shows, press left ctrl (you should get a pop-up input window), input your desired amount and press Enter. And now you should have as many items you want. A word of cation though, using this when you have many items in the container window can freeze your game (even crash it) so use with caution.
