Alternate Cloak/Cape XML's (doesn't work on CoS Retextured): PERFORMANCE HDT XML CONFIGS - courtesy of xxss5songokuxx
Thank you all so much for the support and those helping in the comment section while I've been away. Been working a lot IRL and pulling my life together, I put out these things in those brief periods in between when I can neglect those things So I appreciate those helping out a lot.
Compatibility: For HDT-SMP and CBP hybrid setups, please refer to https://schaken-mods.com/index.php?/file/39-hdt-sse-combined-compatibility-set/ Natively, these two mods will conflict and break cloak physics (and others)
I'm having trouble with the Retextured Cloak's physics twitching and having some weird clipping issues not present when the Retextured Cloaks of Skyrim mod and patch are removed. I tried playing around with the load order with no success. Does anyone have a solution/fix for this issue?
Ugh, I just cannot for the life of me get the Cloaks of Lace for Lady patch to work! I've re-run bodyslide idk how many times and they never move. I don't even know what keywords to search to isolate them.
This is an issue of HDT or lack there of, make sure you have the correct version of HDT-SMP installed the most common issue is people install the old HDT which is built for Old Skyrim you need SMP for SE/AE Hope this helps.
The requirement one listed on the mod site seems to be out of date for AE. Is there another one I should be using?
I have the AE edition so I am using...
FSMP - Faster HDT-SMP and it's requirements as well as Artesian Cloaks of Skyrim with Cloaks of Skyrim and still having this issue.
EDIT: I got it working but capes still clip through Argonian tails :( I was able to fix this with this mod and it's requirements https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/92841 I do see some clipping on the longer capes for NPC's feet when they walk.
You might have installed the wrong version of a dependency mod make sure you double check your mods that you installed them for the correct version of skyrim and if you installed it for anniversary edition or normal Special Edition after that run it through Fores new idles.
Can you tell me what edits you made to these files so that I can fix this? It seems like this mod has been abandoned for some time so I don't know if you will get permission to upload it.
PSA: There is an update file for CoS Retextured on the mod page, named Cloaks of Skyrim Retextured Mesh Update 1.2, DO NOT enable this! After a full day of pulling my hair out, I disabled that mod and presto, working cape physics!
Is the ‘minimal’ option for XP32 sufficient for this? For anyone else wondering this, yes, the minimal XP32 option works, I'm using it and it works fine.
To me those cloaks look better stiff. I think they would have some kind of structure along their length to cause this. Maybe it would be ok with limited physics.
How do you get physics to work in AE? I have installed everything according to specs. Physics doesn't work.
- What is the correct mod order? - What is the correct plugin load order? - What exact version of all dependencies do you need?
This is my mod order: 1 Cloaks of Skyrim SSE 2 Artesian Cloaks of Skyrim 3 Cloaks Of Skyrim Retextured 4k 4 Cloaks Of Skyrim Retextured Mesh Update 1.2 5 Cloaks of Skyrim Retextured SSE HDT-SMP
For anyone else looking for this, physics ONLY apply to the cloaks that come from the plugins within this mod, unless the cloak mod you downloaded comes with it's own HDT like the Cloaks and Capes HDT standalone mod.
I get clipping on the lower torso of male characters when using the CoS Retextured mod but it works fine for female characters, does anyone know of a fix for this?
