Anyone knows about another mod that avoids the need of hunting non-hostile? I really love this one.
It's a win-win for everyone: You let the innocent mammoth live, the giants's can keep their livestock and you won't risk your life for a sidequest. It's unfair to kill mammoths only for their tusks because you cannot take one from the dozens of skulls laying around. Also, there's plenty of better food than mammoth steaks.
For those looking for this mod to have a visual aspect of the skulls being harvested, Dynamic Things Alternative - Base Object Swapper has you covered as it has both the features of this mod and the tuskless skull included.
Thank you, you are a saint! It always bothered me that you couldn't get a Mammoth Tusk for Ysolda from the many mammoth skulls lying around Skyrim (especially outside of Bleak Falls Barrow)! Instead, you either had to steal it which is problematic if you're playing a law-abiding character, buy it from someone which is expensive, or kill a mammoth (very bad idea when you're just starting out and low-level as both giants and mammoths will kick your ass). So thank you so much, I've been thinking for a long time this mod needed to be made so thank you so much to the original creator and to you for porting it!
hi, this mod is always in my load order but it has issues,
1 the base ref ids for the 4 skull records that fill all those hundreds of skulls all over are messed up, no idea what that is 2 winterhold jarl longhouse has some strange injected ownership record from USSEP makes my game crash if i touch those jarls tusks xD 3 it makes JK's Skyrim crash when entering Winterhold cause of that skull infront of the bridge to the college
so i fixed all of that. - renumbered the ref ids, removed the winterhold jarls longhouse cell and made it JK's Skyrim compatible do you want me to upload my version of your esp somewhere?
Found this mod on Lexy's LOTD mod guide. What a great little mod! I always found it tough to kill Mammoths for their tusks because I usually play good characters. Seems pretty evil to kill a living creature for its tusks and this is great for people who RP like me. Thank you so much for this!
there is no evil in hunting your'e food is just basic survival for northernmost people like whale hunting only 1 carcase will provide weeks/months of food for entire village...ivory's just a bonus remember to thank the spirit of hersine or mamoth itself for the food u gain for your'e tribe
This seems to be ESL eligible. It requires compacting the ID's, but since the only original asset is the skulls themselves, that seems doable. All Cell and Worldspace references are overwrites of base game files, so no worry of new objects being jacked up.
