I've updated the permissions section since there seems to be a lot more ppl making their own patch files for QotD with any given appearance mod. I'm good with ppl making patches for this mod to work with other mods! I only ask that you please follow the permission instructions when wanting to upload your patch files to the internet. If Serana appearance authors want to upload QotD patches to their mod pages, then that's fine too.
Speaking of patches and appearance changer mods, if you do use a patch file, only use that file and don't use any other QotD file. Don't use the main file and don't use 2 patch files along side each other... mod won't work if you do ;)
Hello, I am using SDA and my own custom appearance replacer (based off of Seranaholic 1.6 HPH that was being distributed on twitter awhile ago), how would I go about patching this mod into it? I am a bit of a noob so if you could explain it in easier terms it would be nice, thank you.
So it's quite simple, you have to download SSEEdit (aka xEdit). Then you start it and open just 2 plugins: the mod with visual appearence that you want to have patch for and this mod here (vanilla version). Then you navigate to Non-Player Character (NPC) section in the QOTD plugin and you will see that the Serana NPC record is modified by those 2 mods. So you drag and drop the visual parts that you want the QOTD plugin to have. Those are usually Head Parts (sorted), Hair Color, Weight (if changed), Outfit, QNAM Texture Lightning, NAM9 Face Morphs, Face Parts, Tint Layers - you may drag the main (topmost section) of Face Tints to avoid dragging all those small parts one by one.
One last thing to add, is that to save it, act like you're closing down SSEEdit (the red X at the top right hand corner), and it'll ask you if you'd like to save there just before closing down. UD_Serana.esp will be automatically checked on so just click on ok and you're done!
Well, removing the mass paralysis spell will make her less powerful, but if you really want to get rid of it, you can modify how often it happens using SSEEdit. You can adjust it so that it happens as much, little or not happen at all:
Amazing mod! I have a question... is there any mod or patch that makes Serana use the vampire lord form? I found two mods, but I don't think it works with this one, and I also use AFT.
None of your patches are for Coldsun's Dark All Day version of Valerica and Serana. Valerica head will get reverted back to vanilla head with this mod. Am I missing something here?
I strongly hope to join Serana's skill of transforming into a vampire lord!! For example, when seriously injured?Or compatible with this MOD: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/70224thank you.
She's ridiculously overpowered but I prefer lore accuracy over balance in my playthroughs so I like it. I just don't bring her along if I want an actual challenge.
In this case. Play on master difficulty in a deleveled world. With combat ovehaul mods and enemy npc overhauls you'll be challenged enough. Believe me.
Nah, like I said, I like that she can curb stomp 90 percent of the things she comes across because that's lore accurate. My modlist is already very difficult, trust me lol.
Difficulty doesn't affect your companions in any way. The only thing difficulty does it puts a multiplier (be it positive or negative) on the damage you deal and receive.
But otherwise, yes. The whole reason I am trying this mod now is because I have turned Skyrim into a very dangerous place with my modlist and I'm on the hunt to buff my companions.
I know. difficulty setting is irrelevant. It's about how you set up the modlist relative to the power of the companion as they will always stay at the same relative strength as enemies regardless of difficulty setting.
I use Trueblood alongside SDA and the SDA patch compilation and for this mod I use the patch for Trueblood but it's not working. Should I switch to the main file?
I'm using SDA with the trueblood Serana and the SDA patch hub. I noticed that when fighting some enemies after initially awakening her she doesn't use any of the new attacks and was wondering if this had to do with me not being far enough along in her quest, just not seeing her do them (though it seems she only does the ice spike and drain spells, but she did heal herself like your mod says she can when low on health), a load order issue, a spell toggle option with the SDA patch hub mod, or some other thing you might know about. I'm also using the twilight princess armor mashup mod to equip on her and its requirements which involve some body and skeleton mods, but otherwise that doesn't affect Serana directly I don't think.
Using the same as you, haven't noticed the new spells yet, just the sword. Her healing herself is probably due to her having blood potions (SDA adds those) in her inventory. From what I understood on SDA's page, she gradually becomes more powerful and gets to use the better spells over time. Giving her enchanted gear to lower the magicka cost helps. The order I use: Trueblood Serana Pureblood Valerica Twilight Princess SDA This mod SDA's patch hub with trueblood, twilight, QotD and spells extended - Trueblood ticked Same for you?
? for ANYONE who will answer: ok, there's a mod called Seranaholic 1.5 Re-Imagined which is a fusion of Seranaholic 1.5 AND Serana Re-Imagined! Would the files for SRI work with it or no?
The esp has changed in the new version from 'Anima Nera -SerketHetyt's Serana Replacer.esp' to 'Anima Nera -SerketHetyt's Serana Overhaul.esp' the current patch from your mod throws up an error in LOOT.
