wow after downloading the ruined paper file too, I see it in all the books I read which is actually awesome! It always felt weird seeing all these books with very clean and well kept pages in a skyrim environment. Wish I could endorse again just for that lol!
Awesome! I'm glad you like the textures I wholeheartedly agree. the paper needed some age and wear......well particularly to match a ruined book but you know glad it works with other books too. I haven't actually looked at other books yet. Feel free to upload some screenshots if you like
Hey master is there any way to get the heavily scratched version in my game on all ruined books? I *think* you've got it listed as the oldrim file in the downloads because on the screenshot it says 1.1 so I just install that instead?
For the record, while I do not have a potato, I'm actually downloading the 1K... I prefer to save 2K and 4K for things like landscapes, or even armour/clothing. So, thanks for providing the choice.
Options are never a bad thing and if the author is willing to do high quality 4k textures, no one should say otherwise. Downscaling is always an option and relatively easy to do.
Marokay I promise you literally won't notice a performance difference using 2k or even 4k textures. Unless for some lol's you type "player.placeatme ************** 1000" or you run skyrim on a squishy potato. You really only find ruined books in interiors and the engine needs a lot less computer resources to load interior cells VS. exteriors ones so I wouldn't fret.
All that being said if people really want the 1k back I can do it.
Listen... I don't mind. I know I won't notice a performance difference. This isn't a comment about performance. It's also not a comment regarding laziness. I am making a simple, factual statement: Objects That Are This Small Can Be Rendered In 1k Without Any Noticeable Drop In Visual Quality. here's another interesting tidbit: The Darker The Object, The Lower The Resolution It Can Be Rendered In Without Much Noticeable Visual Quality Difference.
so, with all of that said, I do recommend you do the "simple step" and downscale it to 1k. Just in case someone has a potato. Also, beautiful mod.
Well Marokay that's all fine and good and you're entitled to your opinion however a lot of people enjoy having higher res textures in game for aesthetics, closer observation or screen archery. Rest assured I've added an optional 1k for those that prefer it.
To op: What lol no. The devil is in the details you know?
It's exactly small things like this that are great. The moment I saw that book cover texture I instarushed to downloads. Gonna endorse as soon as I can. This is great stuff!
Thank you! My ruined book textures always looked like complete s#*! next to the beautiful Book Covers Skyrim textures. It's something that always bugged me, and none of the clutter texture packs I use covered ruined book textures for some odd reason.
Thanks for your kind feedback I appreciate it! And yeah I have to agree clutter has been severely neglected when it comes to modding. I'm actually going to have a look and see if there is more clutter items I can improve from mushy mesh to resolved detail
Haha I was just about to say the same! It was about time the ruined book got some love. This mod is essential, thank you themaster19. I laughed out loud when I saw the last screenshot looked like somebody had gone berserk on the cover with a fork :D

I was unaware of that. Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into a fix.
@ themaster19 ... Couldn't find any better. Any idea?
EDIT : Just came out, The Business Ledger

I actually like how even tho it's considered "ruined paper", it's used in all the books ive come across.

I have to agree with you. Downscaling is simple
