Hey, amazing mod! Saving it for when I start my next gameplay (or even before that, who knows xD) Just wanted to know if it is affected by the block tree somehow? As I though it would be a interesting sinergy and would make us able to scale the damage reduction as we gain Block Experience Love from Brasil!
There might be a potential incompatibility with Experience or another levelling mod, or maybe BFCO? I'm far from an expert, but I've attached a crashlog below that I think is saying it's having an issue adding experience? Not sure though. I have an obscenely long load order, so no fault of this mod whatsoever, but hope this crashlog could help any troubleshooting. The crash occurred and can be replicated by being attacked by an enemy whilst using a lesser ward.
Technically they should work together just fine, give it a try, this mod can be added/removed without issues, WFE uses papyrus scripts so it's not advisable to remove it on an ongoing save.
Hi, does the .dll can work in VR ? EDIT : "VR (VR is currently untested, if you try it, I’d love to hear your results.) VR Address Library for SKSEVR" I haven't seen all the description, will report when I can test it a bit :)
Sadly I CTD when hitting living target with a weapon witht he mod on. The crashlog doesn't point to the .esp so it may be due to the .dll or my load order itself. I would need to test it further on a simpler load order to exclude an issue on my end, shame because I really like the concept
Seems like it's working for me! Tested on FUS 5.0.2. I'm not 100% sure that the angles are correct; I seemed to have a bit of trouble controlling the direction of the ward, but that might be independent of this mod - I haven't used wards at all in VR prior to this; will need to test more. But it was definitely blocking melee and arrow attacks once I roughly got the hang of where to point my hand. Thanks so much for adding VR support! This is going to be a must-have for me going forward.
Couple minor things: 1) Would be nice to ship the mod with a preexisting .ini file so that MO2 doesn't send it to overwrite. 2) It would be really neat if it were possible to reduce or eliminate the charging time for the ward to make it snappier or, even better, to make the charging time scale inversely with restoration skill.
There is already a few mod that can reduce the ward charge time like : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/38148 But yeah having the option here would be nice, charging up ward render it useless in many scenario
I'm glad it works, I didn't buy the VR version for nothing, lol.
As for the .ini, that's just a small nitpick from the user's pov. I'm keeping it the way it is since it makes my life easier.
Regarding the charge-up time, I'm trying to avoid modifying the actual ward values to keep the mod fully compatible with existing magic overhauls (like Odin, Mysticism, etc). As koushkinn pointed out, you can safely use any of those alongside this one.
This is great. I have read somewhere that it works perfectly fine with Odin. That was all I needed to know for an instant download :)
On a side note, since you are looking into Wardmaster, you might be interested in something like Energy Shield as well. I always liked the idea of that mod but it's quite old and its implementation could benefit from SKSE treatment ;) Your mod is great enough as a stand alone thing, however, so no complaining here. :)
If this mod goes well without any problems, this mod will be a good solution for mages to stop blocking arrows with their swords(third mod anim) or holding a shield in one hand or urging the follower to go for the main attack.

It's under the optional files and doesn't require the main file.
EDIT: it was reported that the new version works with VR, enjoy!
EDIT2: there was an issue with how I handled experience rewards, sorry for who got CTDs because of it, it should be fixed in the 1.0.3 version.
I like the surrounding master ward from this mod and if I use the transparent ward mod, I can make a Gojo like character.
Edit*
I figured it was compatible and it is. Great mod
Love from Brasil!
Thank you so much.

Anyone try this with spell hotbar? I can't try myself for a while...

Can you put the crash log on pastebin or something? Use Crash Logger SSE AE VR - PDB support at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community
But I haven't find anything interesting inside, I have tried without the pointed .esp inside but it didn't solve the CTD
I’d love to see this mod work in VR if possible.
Could you guys please test the optional file and let me know if it’s working now?
Really appreciate it, thanks a lot!
