To answer your actual question: Yes The "NG.dll" which is not malware and btw is provided here on Nexus for download, it's just that, a updated replacement.dll like this one that someone made to make CPR work with 1170/1179, since we needed it and this one did not exist and no word if it being worked on or not. So if it's working so far no need to switch but if you do should be no harm.
So no, it's not a FAKE, it's just an updated one done before the official one also nedding the OG mod to work, which this one also needs. Unnecessary comments of being fake and malware with no facts doesn't help anyone..., great incentive for people to want to mod and try and help after reading stuff like this. Such a grateful bunch!
To avoid further confusion. Before this version, there was no other version of CPR that worked completely. The last “NG” version that was uploaded and removed was an empty plugin without any hooks. Even now, an “NG” version would involve a lot of extra work and unnecessary code. And yes, you can update it mid save, only runtime data is changed. But anyway, hopefully this topic can be closed now as there is a CPR version for every game version :D
If we have vanilla style combat (several animation mods and enemy AI mods, but no MCO/BFCO), does this exciting mod do anything?
I have read through much of the original mod's pages and all of the comments here, and even comments on Reddit. I see quite a few people asking this. But some people answer yes, and some answer no.
I see the comment here that "If you want to fully use CPR you will need patched animations. I can recommend SCAR with MCO and OAR instead of DAR".
I am sure CPR is BETTER with MCO/BFCO, but can we kindly get a definitive statement from SkyHorizon3 whether this mod has SOME value for those using vanilla style combat? This would greatly reduce some confusion. Thank you so much!
With vanilla combat it has almost no effect. Without patched animations it basically does nothing, only a few values are changed by the hooks in these cases.
Praise Talos for The Divines have blessed our lands once more with the almighty will of SkyHorizon. PRAISE CHILDREN OF TALOS, FOR THEY BRING SOMETHING GREAT INTO THE NEW ERA!!
I don't know if it works. Since no special changes were required from 640 - 1130+, maybe it will work. I would check it out, but I don't see any reason to be on 353 at all anymore.
Which mod are you referring to? There are no Nemesis files in the CPR archive, but there are some within SCAR EDIT: Oh, you mean the source code. EDIT2: I don't know what this patch is doing. Since it's not included in the main archive it's therefore not required. EDIT3: These files where used before BDI existed, so just don't use it ? :D

I was about to skip on this mod, but if it works with 353 I'll give it a try

Now it has been injected by BDI, just make sure to get the BDI file in the original CPR.
