Uploaded the Skyrim Immersive Creatures patch that was stuck in permission purgatory. Unfortunately, I never received a response back from lifestorock, and if he or any of the moderators take offense to this or feels like I'm crossing a line, I'll promptly remove it.
I'm using Age of Beasts - SkyPatcher which tweaks creature stats but doesn't appear to mess with their AI. I don't see any patch for using WW with AoB so I'll give it a try and see what happens.
EDIT: Seems to work fine. WW definitely improves animal behaviors.
Hello, thank you for the mod. i dont see "Birds and Flocks SE" mentioned in the compatibles, incompatibles list. does anyone know if these two will work together?
I've noticed wolves coming into Riverwood sometimes. Sometimes they'll attack a chicken, or the cow, but one time they killed Faendal. Is this normal with Wild World for wolves to wander into towns or villages?
I think it is normal for this mod, unfortunately. I just walked into Dawnstar at a low level and a frost troll was attacking the townsfolk. Had one of my active quests fail on me because of it (the guy at the forge wanted that book, but nope! Frost troll killed him).
I'll be uninstalling this mod after this. It's a shame, really. It's the only "realistic animal" mod I've used to date that didn't A) constantly freeze my game, or B) cause big baddies like Dwarven Spheres to flee in terror from my level 1 archer before I could even fire a single shot.
I think it's one of the best features provided by this mod. If I'm not mistaken, this feature is called "wanderlust" package, in which some animals/creatures will wander to habitable places to attack citizens, which are somewhat realistic and immersive IMO. Obviously, mods to protect important NPCs are mandatory, in order to have an entertaining and not frustrating experience with this feature.
Is the Wild World SIC patch still valid? get a warning in loot saying "This patch is outdated and may not be compatible with the latest version of the patched mod"
I've recently added this mod for a new save game and started crashing in the wilderness. This was my only behavior mod and removing it stopped all crashes. Just for anyone wondering whether they should add this mod: It's amazing when it doesn't crash the game, but sadly removing the mod instantly fixed my consistent wilderness crashing.
I did try waiting for a few hours in a bandit camp to fix it and went outside. It actually made my crash happen sooner than the first crash. But waiting for 24 hours instead stopped the crashing- at least for now. But it's a pity, it's such a fun and interesting mod despite the crashing. Skyrim's wilderness just feels so boring normally without this mod, and I just can't bring myself to play without. I just wish there was a way to stop it from crashing. Edit: Not just Whiterun, but any place that's wilderness. I had to remove the mod in the end.
Oddly enough most of the random crashes in the wild can be temporarily solved by waiting for an hour or two, which likely points toward the aggressive animal roaming packages as the culprits. Bummer because that is exactly what I like most about this mod, random unexpected encounters. Maybe there's a reason other animal mods never implemented this feature.
Love the mod, have been using it for about a year now, and having to redo my mod list made me see that the Immersive creatures patch may be outdated, may there be any chance of a new one? I see it was difficult to roll the last one out.
