After a bunch of testing it's clear that using the SKSE method for this mod isn't really going to work. There is no way to fix the "sword draw loop" bug.
All the testing that I did for for this mod lead me to create Ecotone Dual Sheath, a DSR replacement for SSE.
Once I get Ecotone Dual Sheath fully working I will come back to this mod and created the ESP required to make it work properly. In the mean time, if it's working for you then enjoy.
I'm hoping the community will help me find any additional issues.
I've tried to adjust all shields to fit with one-handed swords on back and minimal clipping. It's not possible to make all shields fit all weapon and armor combination but if you find a shield that just doesn't fit anything properly please let me know and I will try to fix it.
I see some people have already requested additional shield to add to the set. I will add shields to the set as time allows. However, I want to make sure what I have already is working well before I add any more.
As many of you know there is a bug in Auto Unequip Shield to Back that causing a sword draw loop with some shields. The issue is caused when a shield uses Texture sets. There is a simple fix but after the fix the shield on back for any shield that uses texture set will have only the base text. For example, the back shield for all the Ennead - Sields will have the some texture.
I can try to work with 7StarC to find a solution to this issue but first I have a question for everyone.
Many people have successfully port Dual Sheath Redux to SSE for their personal use. Dual Sheath Redux handles back shields in a completely different way and may be superior to the method used by Auto Unequip Shield to Back.
With that in mind, should I continue to invest time in this mod? Would my time be better spent adding shield and weapon for Dual Sheath Redux?
Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the scale of the back shield models? I'm using the Blades Shield, but I'd like to make it a bit bigger. I can make the normal model larger through racemenu, but I've not found a way to adjust scale on the back model
Just tested the somewaht historically acurate file with this mod and it did work but shields are purple, which is sad because they are goergous shields
I know it's a long shot but is there any chance to add support for relics of hyrule? It would be awesome to have the mirror shield on my back when I'm not using it.
Hey immersive armors seems to add a replacement model for the solitude shield and when it goes on the character's back the model changes back to the original. Any way to fix this?

This is a beta mod. I have not tested every single one of the 667 shields and I have only test shields with a male character so far.

Worked immediately to get those Immersive Armour shields on my characters back!
I am very happy you made this.
any suggestions?
Its like a niche market, where history buffs like myself look for mods like yours to enhance their immersion
I would suggest supporting VANILLA WEAPON REPLACER as a priority because it is the best in terms of realism and John skyrim's viking weapons.
Thank you for your attention. your mod is cool
