Dawnguard Sentries Troubleshooting
I've already got my first "The mod didn't work" post with NO information included, so...
First thing is first. Reality is Skyrim is a bug ridden, half finished game. Bethesda, like many companies nowadays, does not take the time to finish it's products or fully beta them. That's what paying customers are for right? (extreme sarcasm). My point is even if a mod is built perfectly, it's going to occasionally hiccup.
However, you can minimize the chances of an issue by following the best practices set forth by the modding community years ago:
1) Clean your master files (except for Skyrim.esm) with TEs5edit (for OldRim) or SSEedit (for SE). There are videos on YouTube that show how to do this. Follow their instruct... -
OldRIm Version Mod Compatibilities
OK, in an effort to track down the cause of the RARE kill happy Sentry problem and to just generally answer the question of what's compatible,
I'm making a list here. It's going to be alphabetical by mod name.
Skyrim DLC, Unofficial Patches, SKSE and SkyUI go without saying as being compatible
Clothing, Weapon and Armor mods will likewise be assumed harmless unless they have some sort of script
The list is going to be pretty extensive as I flesh it out, but that's
because a good 1/4 of the time, a mod conflict will be caused by
something that seems totally unrelated to the area where the trouble is
caused.
