hi sorry if this has been reported before, I searched using the "search comments" feature and didn't find any comment mentioning it everytime the bedroll is picked up, two are added to the inventory I only tested it using the double green one using Bedroll Alternative - Simple Bedroll Addon version
found the culprit, it's QuickLoot IE - A QuickLoot EE Fork causing the duplication EDIT: bug has already been reported on the page and they managed to fix it for the next upcoming version
thank you for taking the time to answer me sothasimp
An amazing upgrade, and I love the UTB implentation. By far the most natural looking I've seen.
Is this also supposed to apply to the versions spawned by NPCs, such as Innkeepers? I've noticed they still look like the old brown blankets, though I may have made a mistake somewhere! :P
Thanks! And yes it's supposed to affect all bedrolls unless otherwise specified. Which version are you using, is it one of the BOS exclusion ones? I may need to tweak the ini.
I'm using the 'Bedroll Alternative - BOS Color Variance' version along with the corresponding UTB patch. Moved it to end of load order to check if anything was taking priority but still the same issue.
That's actually the UTB blanket mesh (which is named bedroll.nif, confusing I know) but I need a screenshot with the bedroll underneath selected. You could disable the blanket and NPC (but don't save your game lol)
I've tried disabling the NPC and the blanket, but when done it doesn't reveal anything underneath. Scrolling through objects in the console doesn't seem to show anything else either except for WRIntFloorMid02, PeltFloor03 and Hulda: Bedroll Examples
I'm assuming because this is spawned by the NPC? I'm not actually sure how they work though or if this is vanilla or mod behaviour.
Oh I see. Instead of disabling them maybe try TFCing through them until you can select the bedroll? If that doesn't work I guess you could just install the Vanilla Replacer version on top of BOS Color Variance, but all the un BOS swapped bedrolls will be green.
Whaaat. That is wild. I guess if you have MO2 you could search in the data tab for meshes with the word "bedroll" in them, then check them out in Nifskope and see which ones look like vanilla. I suspect it's one of the AI overhaul mods making the NPCs spawn beds, but I don't know why they'd use a custom mesh instead of vanilla. Also I forgot to add that the Vanilla Replacer Use Those Blankets patch is necessary for the default UTB blanket to be replaced.
Couldn't find anything in MO2 unfortunately, and can't see any BSA's that might have it. Oh well! Not a major issue, just a shame they won't have your lovely replacers, but you don't see this particular variant often anyway.
Appreciate your time either way, and thanks for the great mods. :)
I don't use it, but thanks for letting me know! :)
The only two mods I can think that may have added them in my load order are Candlehearth or AI Overhail SSE, though none mention the Inn keepers and bedrolls specifically. My xEdit skills aren't great either. :P
Happy side effect; along with your Southern Skyrim Only version, it adds a bit more variety to the game haha.
So... from a practical perspective, I suspect a fur-lined sleeping bag would be both warmer and easier to transport... but these are just so absurdly beautiful that I may just have to use them anyway.
I patched the leanto mesh, but I ran into some trouble making the Use Those Blankets patch. If you use BOS Color Variance with the BOS Color Variance UTB patch it's easy to do, but otherwise it will use whichever mesh/color blankets you have for the rest of the bedrolls in your game. I could still replace it but it would replace the blankets for all bedrolls.
I uploaded the patch to optional files, haven't tested it though. If you're fine with the default blankets CC Camping - Comfy Sleeping's UTB patch should be all you need.
When you say it needs CC camping - comfy sleeping for the patch you added, you mean the use those blanket patch from the other mod only? Because the main CC camping missile cut becomes redundant with your patch as it got only one nif file. So we only use your patch and the use those blanket from the other mod? Or your patch will use your own Use those blanket patch? So confused. lol That means we don't need anything from the other mod then?
You're right the original mod isn't necessary, I'll edit the file description for clarity. The CC Camping - Comfy Sleeping UTB patch is only required if you want UTB functionality.
Hey! Really like the version you made for comfy camping! I'm going to be using it. I made an edited FLM file on the original page that uses the Bedroll Alternative blanket instead of the vanilla one when using color variance. Thanks for the great mods! :)
Did some investigating and apparently it doesn't work with light armor/clothes/nude, only heavy armor. I asked skulexander to take a look at the code but he's busy so no idea how soon we'll get a fix.
Hm it works in my game. Are you using the latest version of the BOS Color Variance Use Those Blankets patch? It might take a save/reload or fast travel for it to start working
I just tested in-game with the latest version of this mod and it’s working as it should. Do you have the latest version of BOS? Have you tried fast traveling first?

Edit: Here's a screenshot. Base last changed by UTB, though the Ref was changed by "Unknown" which I'm not sure what that might be!
Default Bedroll Spawn

TFCing through and under doesn't reveal anything either (this is also with the replacer): Bedroll with Vanilla Replacer + TFC
