Yoo-hoo! Mod updated! What's new?
Here is a list of features:
Oh, before I start, I want to address those who installed ver. 1.0 (yes, 19 unique downloaders, I'm talking to you :) ) - update! Version 1.0 covered only 5% of the rabbit hole it turned out to be. Ver. 1.0 covers only the activation of the shrine! Update, guys!
- You can activate the shrine of Peryite while diseased to get a prompt to follow him
- You can pray to him!
- If you heal a disease - you lose Peryite as a deity
These features above are basic Wintersun features that don't work for iNeed - Continued users without this patch.
And now for the Cool Stuff!
In vanilla, diseases are like debuffs you can perfectly live with. In iNeed, especially with Dangerous Diseases module, you don't live long.
So I made some cool changes!
- If you are a follower of Peryite, diseases are capped at stage 2 (Mild). It is somewhat an equivalent of vanilla diseases.
- If you are a follower of Peryite, auto-heal after disease stage 1 is turned off (yeah, there's like 25% chance to auto-heal at that stage)
Now this is Very cool:
- If you are NOT a follower of Peryite, when you get to stage 4 of the disease (Deadly), you will get a prompt. Peryite will offer his help, if you accept him as your deity. If you do, the disease will gradually calm down, until it reaches stage 2. This prompt will only appear once in your game. It's actually a feature missing from Wintersun, while other Daedras get to tempt you when you read a book or something, Peryite doesn't have that. Well, not anymore!
- In ver. 2.1, I added in-built support (it means it won't break if you don't have it) for my mod AFDI - Wintersun Tweak. It adds a mechanic that you can make a Daedra so mad he won't ever talk to you or help you. Well, you guessed it - if you previously made Peryite mad in one way or another, he won't come to help you when you are dying from a disease.
And now for the sad part :'(
Vampirism
Peryite is incompatible with anything related to vampires. If you catch Sanguinare Vampiris, it's basically a countdown till you lose Peryite.
- If you become a vampire, all your diseases and boons (which are also diseases) get cured and Peryite says bye-bye
- If you take a healing potion to get rid of Sanguinare - you just healed yourself of a disease, bye-bye again
So the good news I guess is that all you need to do to get it all back (if you didn't become a vamp, but healed yourself) is eat some raw chicken, travel to Karthwasten, tap the shrine, get on your knees and spam that green orb for 2 minutes until you're at 200% again.
What next?
Maybe add a prompt when you are diseased and are getting to the final stage - a prompt to follow Peryite and save yourself from dying =)
