Maybe I'm just old, but those shout sound effects always seemed too loud for me. Especially when using a mod that allows you to shout more often.

This mod reduces the volume of the shout sound effects by 5db, 10db, or 25db. It doesn't affect your actual voice, just the 'whooosh' and 'crack' sound effects.
This works great with Unspoken Shouts (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34163/?) which silences your
spoken voice, as well. That mod works fine with SSE since (like this mod) there is no
ESP, just audio files. You have to manually install it, though.

I recommend the 5db version unless you plan on using Unspoken Shouts. The 25db reduction is practically silent. The 10db can barely be heard behind your voice.

The download is simply 34 WAV files, no ESP. So you can add or remove it from your game safely at any time.
