Assuming everything is working as intended, this would happen when: 1. there's no available dungeon right now(none has respawned yet); 2. you don't have 10 gold. I think you're probably just running out of dungeons right now. Is this the dialogue they have? "I take it..." You can use console and type: sqv hmadq02 this would show you the state of the actual quest, in your case it should be: not enabled, stopped, current stage 0. Did you upgrade from a previous version? In previous version seeing the dialogue above would guarantee a quest in your journal, but since I changed when to check if there is an available dungeon in version 1.03, now you will always see this dialogue. The option to ask NPCs to mark it will still only show when the quest can be started.
Same issue, "I take it you know some good places to hunt?", then hunters reply, "Of course." and that's it, no quest, and checked 5 different hunters (the one north of Helgen, the one with the horse along Lake Ilinalta, the couple on the ledge not far from Labyrinthian, the two near Riften and the ones south of Dawnstar), all the same, of course, and I have a ton of gold (even purchased something from one of the hunters to have a transaction just in case it needed a jump start to gain their trust) and began on a new game, so is not a matter of either of those. I deleted everything, redownloaded the mod and tried again, fresh install again, new game, same thing, I forgot to check that console thing before I deleted the mod again.
Hi Megan, I did a lot of testing back in september to make sure it work in my normal modded game and a minimal modlist game. I uninstalled the game a while ago and only reinstalled it today, vanilla Skyrim with only this mod activated, COC-ed to the Guardian Stones(wildness without location data, for type 2 quests) and the Hunter's Rest(somewhere that has location data, for type 1 quests) and the fisherman/hunter there both started a quest for me with no issues. Without more infomation I can only assume there's some conflicts with your modlist. This might sound wild but maybe something altered the animal dens in your game which makes them lack the location data required for the radiant quests in this mod to trigger.
This is going to be on my modlidt. Very simple but effective. I keep forgetting where these dens are and I actually like to avoid them too, so this mod does that!
I hope it helps your gameplay! However if you only want these map markers so you can avoid them... Since you can only have 2 quests max active at the same time, unless you actually clear some of these dungeons you won't be able to get more quests, so it might not be very effective for that purpose.
Did u know that there are like, only around 17 animal dens in vanilla skyrim? Yeah me neither. And none in the Reach, must have all been cleared out by the forsworns.
Yeah there are animals in some caves in the Reach but if I remember correctly, none of them are marked as animal dens by game, usually only caves that have only animals in it has this location type assigned to them. You know that cave where you meet Valdr? Even that one doesn't have 'loctypeanimalden' as a keyword (it has the one refers to spriggans tho). I thought about adding spriggans lairs too since they usually have some animals as companions but didn't include this type of dungeons in the end.

Better than having to browse uesp on my phone while playing the game!
