Version 5.9.8
- Added a response ("Look out, I think we have company") to point out that traveling isn't possible because the player is 'in combat', instead of just having a missing "I'd like to hire your carriage" dialogue option that, although a vanilla behavior, might leave some players baffled and thinking that the mod is bugged.
- Added the Solitude-gap workaround to the main file.
- Merged two updated patches into the installer.
- Moved the optional 4K textures to the installer.

- This should tackle once and for all the rare but puzzling issue of unfilled quest aliases, no matter what's causing it. If it doesn't, I surrender.
- It goes without saying that the update makes sense only for those who have the issue or are planning to start a new game.
- For those who don't have the issue or are not planning to start a new game the update is harmless, but also useless.

Version 5.9.5
- Merged the loose patches into the installer.
- Added a navcut collision to the spawned accidented carriages -- it should prevent NPCs from bumping into them.
- Removed the grass at the Riften carriage tent for increased compatibility.
- Tweaked the Ryn's Farms patch (Riften area.)
- Adjusted a couple of Dawnguard infos in which the driver says he doesn't go to Dragon Bridge (but he does, the sneaky liar.)
- A few more minor edits.

Version 5.9.4
- Removed all the vanilla driver and ferryman forms to prevent conflicts with NPC appearance overhauls -- patches for CC are no longer needed.
- Tweaked the ferry add-on for better compatibility with "Souls RE". This is untested but it might work (feedback welcome). If you don't have "Souls RE", the updated add-on works exactly as the old one.
- Merged the new patches into the nightmarish installer.

Version 5.9.3
- New silly encounter: A carriage attacked by bloodthirsty bandits. Passenger and horse succumbed but the driver is a tough one. You may help him and he'll even thank you (just gratitude, no reward -- greedy players are welcome to loot the passenger.)
- Carriage drivers: More polite; they wait a while before starting to complain about your tardiness.
- Passengers: They no longer walk towards the player; they just say hallo if the player goes near them. They no longer disappear into the wilderness; after disembarking they head for the nearest city or inn.
- Loose patches: Merged into installer.
- In general: Minor changes and script cleaning.

Version 5.9.2
- Updated the hidden "fill aliases" quest which used to run only at first install or when switching to a different mod version. Now it conveniently (duh!) runs whenever necessary.
- The "no gold, no ride" rejection is also applied to the extra baggage fees (if enabled) instead of only to the regular travel fares.
- Merged the new and updated patches into the installer.
- NOTE: the LotD patch is experimental and untested, caveat emptor.

- Added the not-enough-gold checks for minor destinations -- no more charity!

Version 5.9.0
- Removed the "Kynesgrove" destination -- it's within spitting distance from Windhelm, totally redundant and it always bugged me.
- Added a "near Fort Sungard" destination (for lack of a better name) -- it's actually on the Whiterun/Rorikstead road, between the to-Falkreath and to-Markarth crossroads.
- "Grass mods" and related landscape fixes are no longer supported. The patches have been removed from the main file -- the few I had already made are still available as a separate download, just in case.
- Fixed a small glitch in Winterhold.
- Merged the latest patches into the installer.

Version 5.8.1
- Increased the priority of the hire-carriage dialogue to always have it as the topmost menu option, even with mods adding more conversation to the drivers.
- For some reason I found one NPC sitting on a carriage while sandboxing; this disrupts the carriage system scripts. Although it happened only once and it shouldn't have been possible, I decided to add more failsafes, just to be sure.
- The guards also defend the carriage horses in case something or someone attacks them.
- Tweaked the passengers' nightly behavior to be more "backgroundish".
- Merged the latest loose patches into the installer.

Version 5.8.0
- Added a Reach-only "Forsworn Attack" random encounter.
- The guild guards don't have "crime" dialogue and behavior anymore, they just defend their employers. You can bash their heads in scot-free, if you so wish :)
- The loose updated patches have been once again merged into the installer.
- Several minor adjustments, they're not worth mentioning.

- Revised all the tree records to hopefully avoid "floating" issues for those who don't have SFO -- please delete the hotfix if you have it installed.
- Removed the "People of Skyrim" patch; too many errors, and too much hassle keeping it fixed and updated.

- The guards in Solitude, Whiterun, and Windhelm kept re-enabling themselves of their own free will despite the MCM setting. Fixed.
- The passenger facegen quick-fix has been merged into the mod, please remember to remove it if you had it installed.

- First, if you have everything already nicely set up and/or you're not really interested in the new tweak, better skip this update and save yourselves some work.
- Added an optional carriage travel speed tweak, more info in the description page.
- Merged loose patches into the installer (ETaC Rorikstead fixed by Mysterioso, Holds, Solitude Expansion, The People Of Skyrim Complete).
- Adjusted the passengers to make them able to say generic hellos if you decide to talk to them (Why on earth should you ever do that? To make them feel loved and accepted).
- If you're updating from a version below 5.7.0, please still follow the procedure suggested in the 5.7.0 changelog.

Version 5.7.2
- The Helgen guard was mistakenly enabled at new game start, she actually uttered a few witty comments while they were about to behead me. Now it's disabled by default and, unfortunately, if you don't have SkyUI you can't enable it.
- The former "Warm Drivers" patch is now part of the mod. PLEASE REMEMBER TO UNINSTALL THE OLD PLUGIN AND SCRIPTS, IF PRESENT. The outfit swap is enabled by default and can be switched off in the MCM.
- Improved the "Great City of Solitude" patch with a more sensible horse position, BETTER UPDATE WHEN AWAY FROM THE AREA.
- Improved the "Expanded Towns and Cities" patches for Dawnstar, thanks to Mysterioso for the fixes.
- No need to update if you don't have Helgen Reborn or don't need the updated patches.
- If you're updating from a version below 5.7.0 please follow the procedure suggested in the changelog.

- Removed the patch for "VHR - Vanilla Hair Replacer", I can't keep up updating it and, honestly, I can't suffer those silly hair on my drivers anymore.
- No need to download the mod again if you have v5.7.0 already installed, nothing else has changed.

- IF YOU DECIDE TO UPDATE PLEASE FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE: go somewhere indoors, save the game, update.
- Also, if you have it, be sure to UNINSTALL THE OLD "PASSENGERS" ADD-ON after saving and before updating.
- Failing to save the game while indoors shouldn't cause serious problems (just be absolutely sure to uninstall "Passengers" though), but this way is safer.
