I don't know if you will see this, but is this mod safe to compact form IDs and flag as an esl?

Almost any mod is, the only thing light plugins have trouble with is, but don't quote me on this, audio. I'm unsure of that though.
Also, a little tip: You can convert any mod, even ones that are required of other mods, to esl easily with xEdit. Make sure to have all effected esps active, and xEdit does it all for you.

No the scripted mod should only be converted if you know that you can, otherwise it can break the mod (and its eventual child plugins like patches).

With some no problems, with others mod KO.

This absolutely Works!  ((With the Unoficial Patch Installed)) Just make sure you have completed the Quest ''A Return to your Roots''  ,Make a Save! then exit game. Install this mod. Play the game for a few mins.. Save Exit,  then play.. go and plant your Crimson Nirnroot's in harvestable Plots. 3 days later you have your Crimson Nirnroot's.. Enjoy.
Oh and to clarify i did NOT start a new game. So you do not need to start a new game for this to work. It works fine for me pre-game installation wise.

Well , even with unoficial skyrim patch sometimes the counter is messed up . i guess to have this working is start a new game , and then install this mod after the completion of the quest .

I added this mod before I started a new game, and have finally just done the quest in Blackreach and completed it.  Went to plant some nirnroot only to find it's still not an option to plant (neither nirnroot or crimson nirnroot show when I activate soil).  I've tried reinstalling the mod and doing the mod init from console setstage PlantableNirnrootInit 10

Any suggestions to get this to work?

When I plant Crimson Nirnroot they grow as regular nirnroot. Not sure why.

Hi, guys loved the concept of the mod really lore-friendly since there is a dark elf that is able to plant the Nirnroot in Skyrim. Just on question...Does it work with Oldrim?

    EXCELLENT mod!

I'm also THRILLED that these don't "sing" since it would drive me crazy having six planted right outside my front door! I also appreciate that you have to do the ROOTS quest to acquire them and they aren't just a "cheat" so to speak - great job!

Great idea! Thank you for this.
What would happen if you were to modify the form lists (either to make it shorter or longer) through an esp AFTER the mod injected its items? Would it still work correctly?
And just out of curiosity, what happens when you uninstall this after the items were injected? I assume the references to the flora get removed from the respective form list since they dont exist anymore, but would the ingredients remain in the plantable list, messing up the correlation between them?

If you modify the formlist through an esp after the mod is installed, I think it should work just fine.
If you uninstall it after the items were injected into the formlist, it might indeed mess up the correlation. So I would advise you not to do that unless you want to plant an ash yam and get juniper berries.

Thank you bunches. This is a really good way of integrating planting into the game without it feeling cheat-y.

I havn't any problems with the quest in Blackreach, but can't plant any ninrroot or crimson in any plantable house space.
    I can't explain better sorry.

      Hi,
I'll try to help you to the best of my abilities, but without a little bit more information I can't really figure out what the cause might be.

      1. Can you not plant Nirnroot in the garden outside either? Or only not in the inside spaces?
      2. Does the problem persist if you finish the quest via the console?
      3. Did you start the quest before or after you installed this mod?
      4. Does the problem persist on new saves?

If you started it before installing this mod, and it does work on other saves, it might be the case that the mod was unable to make the modifications on that save because you had already started the quest.

If so, a quick fix would be to type the following in the console after you have finished "A Return To Your Roots":
"setstage PlantableNirnrootInit 10" (without the quotes).

This checks whether you have finished the quest and makes the changes that should have been applied then.
I hope this helps with the problem you are having.
