Question: does "Spice of Life Version" improve upon/supersedes the mesh patch from FYX 3D Stockades - Compatibility Tweaks ? I'm asking because according to the description in download section, is meant to replace main download entirely, but checking file overwrites it seems that only "meshes/clutter/stockade/stockadegate01.nif" is overwritten.
Main file from THIS mod Effectively you only install one package from this mod
However checking Compatibility tweaks real quick it just reverts back the file path so you don't need the patch if you do not want it to use the Spice of Life textures, in that case simply use the main / parallax file
I already know what it does, had all Yuril and wSkeever improvements and Spice of Life and the integration patch between the 4 mods before discovering this mod. Is why I checked the file conflicts. I guess I can live without that particular mesh or I can edit the texture path. Ty for clarifying, might want to add the explanation to mod description, so is more clear, is kind of...short. A changelog would be also helpful.
The author of compatibility tweaks here. The purpose of my mod is to reorder the mesh blocks so that they match vanilla and alternate textures made for vanilla meshes (such as what spice of life is doing) apply to correct parts of the mesh. It was originally made with Spice of Life in mind, but applies more broadly to other use cases as well, such as some vanilla statics using alternate snowy textures. This can't really be replicated by changing the texture paths on the mesh, because that will apply to ALL stockades, not just the ones used in orc strongholds.
This is great, love to see this. Question: can this be applied to trees? I've always had that problem with arrows hitting invisible tree bounds. I use HLT, but I've tested multiple tree mods and this happens on all of them, which led me to believe they all had the same vanilla collisions, or similar ones at least, so I wasn't sure if it was possible to have a one mod fix for all tree mods.
I just had a look at vanilla, HLT and Ulvenwald which I personally use The collisions are absolute garbage... They don't all use vanilla collisions, but Ulvenwald for example has misaligned collisions HLT (not be be confused with HLC) is just using long cylinders (capsules actually) like in vanilla
Alright, I'll make a mod for HLT and Ulvenwald Now that I've seen it, I can't unsee it
Side note: Consider joining the discord to stay up to date with this tangent now or if you have any other suggestions
No, DynDoLOD is simply a visual system to avoid elements popping into existence Collision should have no effect on it and it should be a quick drop and replaced in the end, no expected drawbacks
Hey, wish you good luck with the project! Ulvenwald collisions have been botherin me ever since I first checked the meshes. Unfortunately, the author cared too late about adding proper collisions, used collisions from a tree template file that they used for converting into nif and that kinda sucks considering how many meshes actually have a fucked colllision.
Undoubtedly, you have the most beautiful [insert color here] eyes that I have never seen
Also, I uploaded a Spice of Life compatible version Though I don't see any parallax files under SOL, and using the default may present anomalies Let me know if you want a parallax version

And I will join, thanks. Also, another question, if you do end up doing trees would I have to rerun dyndolod or would it be fine to just slap on top?

As soon as I have some free time later in the day

Will do that tomorrow, too tired to modify any further files today

^^This includes features the original FYX - 3D Stockades mod already
They already use the desired paths and have no visual difference, or have I missed something
