This is a remake of my first upload from October 2017 (Oldrim). Now it's time for another rework, but this time the scythe model is in its final form :)
A necromancer's scythe made from human skeleton parts.
The scythe is forged as usual using the following components:
- 1x Deadra Heart
- 5x Steel Ingot
- 1x Human Skull
- 1x Human Spine
- 4x Grand Soul Gem (empti)
In order to craft the “Necromancer Scythe”, you must have the perk "Daedric Smithing".
The stats are exactly the same as the Daedric Battle Axe - also, the scythe uses the animations of battle axes.
The weapon can also be enchanted and you need 2x Steel Ingots and 1 Grand Soul Gem (empti) to temper it.
Now what the heck is a “Human Spine”? Simply explained, you can now find this new crafting item in random skeletons.
Installation:
Use Vortex or MO2 as usual or extract the folders "meshes", "textures" and the "NecroScytheRedone.esp" in your "Data" folder.
X:\SteamGames\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data
By adding stuff to the skeleton loottable, the loading order should be as high as possible.
Update:
Override any files and be happy. It is save to update midgame.
Performance:
There are 3 versions of this mod: 1k, 2k, and 4k. This means the texture size. Choose one of the three that fits your PC specs.
I play with a 3080 10GB and the 4k textures without any problems. (DLAA + ENB @ 2.560 x 1.440 or WQHD) The frames are limited to 61 by ENB.
Graphics cards with less VRAM could be problematic with the 4k textures, but try it yourself :D
