Introduction
Skyrim's skills have always disappointed me. Two-handed and One-handed weapons? Why change Oblivion's Blade and Blunt skills? It made far more sense. Yes, there is a difference between a weapon that uses both hands and another that only uses one, but does it really make such a difference that it was better to have them as the skills instead of Oblivion or Daggerfall/Morrowind's skills? Armor is even worse. There's no reason to have them be seperate skills. This mod improves armor and weapons to how I personally believe they should be.

General Changes

Your weapon damage no longer scales with skill, at all. If you want to be powerful, you'd best take the first perk in the skills.
Additionally, weapons now deal 50% more damage. To put it simply, using a steel sword at level 1 in this is the equivalent of using a steel sword at level 81, without perks. This means armor and dodging attacks are much more important. With the correct perks, you could end up dealing hundreds of damage with a single Power Attack. NPCs also get access to these perks, so they will deal high damage too.
Maces, waraxes, and greatswords have all been changed. The first two now level up Two-handed and greatswords level up One-handed. Because of this, most weapon mods that add those types of weapons will level up the wrong skill. They will have to be patched to be used correctly.
This should be mostly compatible with other perk mods. Issues may arise if they edit vanilla perks but if the weapon skills are untouched, there will be no issues.

Blunt Skill Tree
Two-handed, which originally controlled warhammers, greatswords, and battleaxes, has been changed to Oblivion's Blunt skill. Now, the skill is about using maces, warhammers, and axes, both types. This skill is all about dealing high damage and crushing your opponents from above. With this skill, you will want to focus on Power Attacks to get the most damage possible. No foe will be able to stand against you once you've gotten every perk.

Blunt Perks
Barbarian- This perk will allow your blunt weapons to gain a damage buff based on skill level.
Champions Stance- This perk is from the original Skyrim. All it does is make your Power Attacks a quarter cheaper to use.
Devastating Blow- Another perk from plain old Skyrim. With it, your standing Power Attacks deal a quarter more damage and have a chance to decapitate your foe.
Warmaster- Yet another perk just from Skyrim. Your backward Power Attacks don't get stronger with it, but you'll have a good chance to paralyze your enemy. Dealing high damage is already great, but dealing high damage while your target is disabled is even better.
Crushing Power- This perk is very simple, a very high damage buff with all blunt weapons.
Unstoppable Force- A guy with a Warhammer is scary enough, imagine if he were trained. With your ability with blunt weapons, you'll give a fear effect to enemies you hit sometimes, causing them to run away.

Mace Specific Perks:
Bone Breaker 1/2/3- Each rank will increase how much armor you ignore when attacking.
Mace Expertise- A simple damage boost. When combined with Crushing Power, you'll deal double damage.
Crushing Strength- Your mace is strong enough to bash a head in, so naturally, it staggers enemies often.

Axe Specific Perks:
Wounding 1/2/3- Axes cause wounds to your opponents, allowing you to deal extra damage to enemies you hit, for a limited time. This extra damage increases as you get more ranks.
Axe Expertise- A boost to your damage. With this and Crushing Power, your attacks make enemies lose twice the health.
Heavy Axes- An axe is a powerful blunt weapon, but it's also sharp. You can ignore a large portion of your enemy's armor and cause them to bleed.

Warhammer-Specific Perks:
Skullcrusher 1/2/3- The Warhammer is at its best when you put all your strength into it. Because of this, your Power Attacks deal much more damage, increasing as you get ranks.
Warhammer Expertise- A decent damage boost. Crushing Power and this perk combined will make your warhammers twice as strong.
Snap Shoulders- If your target is Power Attacking, hit them. Your Warhammer could hurt their shoulder bad enough they drop their weapon.

Bladed Skill Tree

One-handed, which originally controlled swords, waraxes, and maces, has been changed to be all about bladed weapons, similar to Oblivion. Daggers, swords, and greatswords are the weapons in this category. With it, you should weave in and out, trying to get. You won't deal as high damage as blunt weapons, but when you do deal damage, it hurts.

Bladed Perks
Armsman- Your bladed weapons now scale with your skill. You'll see a difference between a novice and a master swordsman
Fighting Stance- Stamina matters a lot for Power Attacks, so you made sure that they're as easy to do as possible, lowering the cost of Power Attacks.
Critical Charge- Sprint with your bladed weapon and then power attack. It's impossible that you don't deal critically fatal damage.
Savage Strike- Stand still and Power Attack your foe. You'll deal higher damage to them and maybe even remove their head.
Blades Master- You're finally good enough with a blade to be considered a master. Now, your blades will do the most fatal damage.
Paralyzing Strike- Hit your enemy with a backward Power Attack and you might just paralyze them.

Dagger Specific Perks:
Slice and Dice 1/2/3- A dagger is a prime assassin's weapon. Not just for killing targets without them knowing, but because of how well they cut. Your dagger makes your enemies bleed.
Dagger Expertise- Become an expert with daggers, to stab even more hearts.
Opportunity Attack- You know when to stab your foe to do the most physical harm, right when they're distracted using a Power Attack.

Sword Specific Perks:
Bladesman 1/2/3- You know how to hurt someone, allowing you to deal critical damage more often.
Sword Expertise- Slice their neck off with your newfound mastery of the blade.
Weakpoints Noticed- You know exactly where the weakest part of an enemy is, allowing you to exploit it to stab them harder.

Greatsword Specific Perks:
Deep Wounds 1/2/3- When you hit someone hard, you hit them hard. Critical damage increases massively.
Greatsword Expertise- You know what hurts? Getting a greatsword inside your organs. Or at least, your new skills would suggest that.
Raging Criticals- You may not use a very heavy weapon, but you know how to put enough strength into your greatsword. Critical hits deal more damage the higher your stamina is.

Polearms Skill Tree

Light Armor has been replaced if you install this addon. Using Animated Armoury, you will now have a Polearms tree, improving your skill with spears, halberds, and tridents, if you install the Heavy Armory patch. Polearms are much stronger than any other weapon, due to their high range. This is best used with the Armor overhaul I have, but it is not required.

Polearm Perks
Pole Master- Like the last two skills, this is what gives you damage scaling.
Master of Balance- Power Attacks are strong but cost a lot, so this cuts the stamina price down to half.
Martial Artist- Your polearms now have a massive damage increase.
Stinging Pole- Power Attack an enemy backward for a chance to paralyze them.

Quarterstaff Specific Perks
Exhausted Foes 1/2/3- When you hit an enemy with your quarterstaff, you tire them. Stamina and magicka regenerate slower for your enemy, for a short time.
Staff Expertise- Your damage with staves is increased by almost half.

Halberd Specific Perks
Slash 1/2/3- Hitting an enemy with a halberd directly deals stamina damage.
Halberd Expertise- Your halberd is stronger, causing more health to be lost when hit.

Spear Specific Perks
Weakened Joints 1/2/3- Your spears damage the joints badly, causing your enemies to stagger when they attack.
Spear Expertise- Your spear deals extra damage.

Defense Skill Tree

Light Armor as a skill has been removed and merged with Heavy Armor, becoming the Defense skill. Armor is now much weaker than before, but perks will offset that greatly. Additionally, the armor cap has gone up to 90%. Now, armor matters more than before, with heavy variants being much stronger than light. For a bit more immersion in your armor, you should install this addon. This leaves the original Light Armor skill empty to be replaced with another skill, such as evasion, if anyone is interested in making a skill like that.

Defense Perks
Armoury- Like the weapon skills, your armor will not get better just from leveling up the skill unless you have this.
Agile Warrior- Armor is heavy and there is no way to make it weigh nothing. This perk makes armor just a bit lighter.
Armor Balance- While wearing a cuirass, your stamina and magicka will regenerate slower. This perk will lessen that significantly.
Weighty Armor- If you love Power Attacks, you'll love this perk. Your armor is heavy enough that you've learned how to put that weight into your power attacks, allowing higher damage.
Crushing Presence- If you wear a full set of armor, you'll be able to defeat foes without fighting Half of the damage you take from melee weapons will be dealt to your enemies, sometimes.

Heavy Armor Specific Perks
Juggernaut 1/2/3/4/5- Heavy armor is strong, so each rank of this increases its power significantly.
Fists of Steel- Even a gauntlet is heavy, so you deal its armor rating in damage.
Well Fitted- While wearing full heavy armor, you get a massive armor bonus.
Tower of Strength- Staggering is for weaklings. When you wear only heavy armor, you stagger half as much.

Light Armor Specific Perks
Agile Defender 1/2/3/4/5- Light armor may not be as strong as heavy, but it's still protection. Each rank will increase your armor rating.
Finesse- Your freedom of movement is great with light armor, allowing you to attack much faster than heavy armor.
Custom Fit- If you wear only light armor, you get a good bonus to armor rating.
Deft Movement- You know how to dodge attacks, allowing you to avoid all damage sometimes if you only wear light armor.

Known Issues
Bow damage is low due to not scaling anymore. This will be fixed with an Archery Skill Overhaul.
There is a soft incompatibility with most weapon and armor mods, as they're designed for how most people do perks. The problem is small however and is only leveling related. You will still be able to use them, weapons and armor will just level up the wrong skill.
