About this mod

Adds markers for tracked quests or the player location to the handheld maps from NavigateVR

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Changelogs
This is an addon for Navigate VR and requires that mod and all of its prerequisites.

New in version 1.1.4 (save game compatible with previous version)
  • MCM menu - this required introduction of an .esp, it is ESL flagged and load order doesn't matter. Also a new required mod- JContainers VR
  • Real time player location updates
  • "Clairvoyance" option for player marker and custom location marker. This only enables those markers when you have the Clairvoyance spell equipped (don't have to cast it). This is meant to be an easy way to toggle them without opening the MCM.
  • Fixed incorrect quest locations (middle of Whiterun bug). This comes at the price of a limit of 16 quest markers.
  • Fixed bug with markers disappearing when the compass is equipped
  • Fixed z-fighting /flickering with overlapping markers

How to use
When you mark a quest as active in your journal, it will display an icon on your handheld maps. The icon changes depending on the category of the quest. You can change the appearance and size of the icons in the MCM menu.

To track Miscellaneous quests, both the individual objective and the parent "Miscellaneous" quest must be tracked.

The maps probably weren't intended as GPS references. Don't expect perfect accuracy! The position has been calibrated based on landmarks like road forks, islands, and rivers, rather than location map markers.

The makers of this mod and of Navigate VR are not liable for any lost time, frustration, or personal injury resulting from use of this mod for navigational purposes.

MCM Profiles
All new games use the Default profile. To make a new profile, select "Write to new" and then close the menu.
Changes are saved when you close the menu, this means if you make changes and then select a different profile, they will be lost.
To rename or delete profiles you can edit Data\SKSE\Plugins\vrmapmarkers.json , just don't rename the Default profile.

Known Issues
  • When you're inside a city or an interior, quest markers for the outside world will be placed at the city exit.

Compatibility
Probably won't work properly with any NavigateVR map replacers.
The Bruma and Wyrmstooth maps aren't supported at this time.
