THE VOID

The Void is a re-imagining of Realm of Lorkhan designed for challenge plays. Within, you'll create your character in a dark environment. Here, your options are limited with the intent to create a compelling, high-difficulty start.

So far, I've left in the teleport power that can be used once a day to go to The Void. So you can return here, but there are only exits to certain places around the world. I'm thinking of making this a consumable instead, but that will take time.

You can take at most 750 gold with which to buy starting items.

(If you are unfamiliar with the value of items, an iron armor cuirass costs about 300 gold, and a tent costs 60. The healing and flames spells each cost 180, and you don't start with either already learned.)

There are no free pick-ups anywhere in the Void, not even a flower.

The 'Perks, Boons, and Curses' system from Realm of Lorkhan is included. For those unfamiliar, it uses a 'point-buy' system where multiple perks can be taken in exchange for negative curses.

(My recommendation is to take the 'Commoner' curse, which is my favorite. You get with -50/-50/-50 to Health, Magicka, and Stamina, but get 3 points to spend on perks. Take any curse in addition, and you can begin with 3 Classes.)

4 locations to start in, chosen from the most difficult ones from Realm of Lorkhan:

1) Dawnstar Shipwreck, 2) Cracked Tusk Keep, 3) Sacellum of Boethia, 4) Blackreach

All of these locations should put you in violent danger and survival risk before you reach your first safe town.

(My favorite is Cracked Tusk Keep, which puts you in the middle of an Orc dungeon. You'll have to sneak carefully, fight well, or run!)

The merchant, "Viy the Procurer", awaits for you to spend your gold. Campfire mod is required, as the merchant sells tents. The merchant also sells modded weapons and armors, drawn from Leveled Lists. They also sell random spell tomes of Apprentice or Novice levels, again including modded spells.

I added as many leveled lists as I could think of, that could include some items added by your mods. You should see the merchant's stock reflect the awesome mods you have.

I hope you enjoy this new Realm! I've tried to include much of the feedback I've received over the past 6 years, which I wasn't able to include in Realm of Lorkhan due to the "free-form" design philosophy.
