    Because people don't read and then complain, let's make something very clear:

    IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST PLAYTHROUGH OF THE MOD, DO NOT LISTEN TO ORLANDO. DO NOT DO WHAT HE WANTS AT ANY POINT. IGNORE HIM. DON'T EVEN TALK TO TO HIM IF YOU KNOW YOU HAVE NO SELF-CONTROL AND ABSOLUTELY MUST DO WHATEVER AN NPC TELLS YOU TO DO.

    Doing what he wants will skip the entire story and land you right in the finale, with zero knowledge of what's going on and no option to return to Skyrim until you're done (or reload a save ... which you should do, unless you're THAT committed to your actions). Orlando is there for those who already know the mod and only want to play the last act. Everyone else, IGNORE HIM!

    If you complain about getting stuck in some wasteland and having no clue what you're doing there anyway, I'll know that:

    - you haven't read the description on the original VIGILANT page,
    - you haven't read the description here,
    - you haven't read this sticky.

    And you'll be sacrificed to Molag Bal. No mercy.

    A potentially game-breaking incompatibility has been found by LemonicDemon:


    WARNING: Do _not_ use the mod " Dead NPC Cleaner " with the VIGILANT. It will remove a body in a way which prevents you from progressing in the 1st part (at least) of the mod. Happy gaming!

    CHANGELOG 1.7.2:

    Translation:
    - updated for Vigilant 1.7.2
    - reverted Nirn's Origin Ring -> Nir's Origin Ring (back to original)
    - renamed Chef River Jumper -> Chef Jumps-Over-River (closer to in-world naming conventions)
    - reverted everything related to Naarifin -> Narfin (back to how it was a while ago before I decided to see connections where there were none - sorry, my bad)
    - renamed Nemesis -> Pitier (the original Japanese literally says "one who sends down pity" ... English is just terrible sometimes and has no good one-word-synonyms)
    - a few other corrections and tweaks to some dialogue (Pale Feet, Anatomancer and the Pipers should be just a little more understandable now ... still, good luck figuring out their gibberish on the first try)

    Voiced plugin:
    - carried over new boss tweaks from the main mod where needed -> get ready to be curbstomped, now for real

    In regards to complaints about the subtitles and voices not matching 100%:

    This is neither a bug nor something I will be "fixing".

    Translation gets corrected, tweaked and so on. Voice files cannot be brought in line without re-recording them, which will NOT happen until the entire trilogy is complete (as I keep repeating). I will also NOT host two different translation files just to keep voices and subtitles consistent because it's too much of a hassle to deal with X amount of different versions of translation.

    If it bothers you that much, uninstall voice pack and use only the silent translation.

    does this fix the absolutely awful english translations in the original mod?  because trying to read it is giving me a massive headache.

      Yes, a proper English translation is included here (and also available as a standalone if you prefer subtitles only).

      The original mod isn't really translated. The "English" there is actually Google translated with Vicn's manually corrected names where needed, and it's only meant for the translators as an orientation tool. Not for you, the players.

    Got banned from discord sever for VPN intrusion spam.What a shame for players like me who want some answers about the story but can't use discord without a VPN.

      :( That's unfortunate.The VPNs abusing stuff......don't know how other severs counter such things though,it's the first time I encounter such a situation.
      Then all relatively solid answers that I can get for now are mostly from the comments by you on reddit.
      Anyway,Thank You for the Great Translation and answers/explanations on reddit.
      Looking forward to voice addons for the other two of the trilogy and your essays on the whole trilogy!

      Same, I’m so bummed, really wanted some of the mods on the server, wondering if there are archived elsewhere I can have access to or if we can get verified manually in the server

    Question/Help:

    I just installed VIGILANT SE and VIGILANT Voiced - English Addon in the specified order and the voices seem to be working just fine (tested with Orlando at the Inn at Dawnstar.

    The subtitles don't appear for the Vigilant NPC's though (subtitles still present for bases Skyrim NPC's).

    I followed the install instructions:
    - Installed correct version of Fuz Ro D-oh
    - "None" and "Silent Voice" options during Vigilant SE install
    - Downloaded and Installed
    - Activated the mod
    - Verified Vigilant Voice.esp comes after Vigilant.esm in the load order.

    I seem to be missing a setting or options to get the subtitles enabled. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    goated mod. coldharbour gave me aids since i didnt have a map the first several hours i was in and i had no idea where to go or how to activate the eye.

    Hey I need help, I download the three mods and followed the steps but the voice isn't appearing in my game, do I need to start a new game? I don't understand why this isnt working I'm using vortex and downloaded every thing you said to including fus ro doh. Please help

    Hello , firstly nice mod 
    The problem is you did not explain the installation very well 
    I have installed all required files 
    But the voice add-on just doesn't work 
      
    EDITED:- nevermind it's working now 
    Don't know how but I fix it

    Bro please make your archivied latest version available for download for those who arent using the 2024 updated skyrim. I had to go int html inspection to find out how to download your archived mod;

      And why exactly do you need the 2024 updates of Skyrim for this? This is neither an SKSE plugin nor anything that would rely on CC or new resource masters.

      Archived versions will remain archived.

    Hello there!
    At first - I know that this is SE versions but on LE versions is said that for comment section should come here, so I did in Hope someone would help me. I play LE version (as you probably suspected till this moment) and I have installed everything as it should be, where it should be in versions it should be and still all Vigilant characters have no voice at all. I've made possible check for incompatibility of any mods I have with both Vigilant and V-Addon and non found do far, even moved both Vigilant and Vigilant V-addon at the end of mods order to be sure non other of my mods would potentialy overwrite them. Still nothing. 

    Anyone may have same problem or know possible solutions for such problem?

    *EDIT* Once I will come back to home (afternoon) I will add entire list of mods I have installed for your better check.

    Using the basic guide, I discovered, it is not exactly the same as the quest story ... may be it needs some updates?

      It definitely needs because it's based on 1.4.X of the main mod maybe? I can't say for sure. I have my own full guide but it's Russian, the only working thing I can suggest right now is to use Google Webpage Translation.

      ... but there is a small statue behind a small cupboard on the ground behind the bloodstains ... this needs to be activated to proceed ...

      It's outdated. Look at the date when it was uploaded, and the date when the translation was last updated. Of course it's no longer reliable. I just don't have the time to update it.
