I'm confused. So what does the BEES version of the script do that the non-BEES version does? It says it "takes into account the BEES support". Does this mean the non-BEES version will only find plugins for ESL that have the 1.7.0 header and the BEES version of scripts will only find plugins for ESL that have 1.7.1 header?
the non-BEES version checks a plugin for no more than 2048 form ids, since that's the max a light plugin with HEDR v1.70 can handle. The BEES version checks for no more than 4096 form ids, since that's the max a light plugin with HEDR v1.71 can handle.
so am i right that if ive installed a bunch of mods that can now be esl that couldnt previously, the old script would not have detected them and this one will? sorry if its a stupid question, i struggle with technical info sometimes and want to be sure im right lol
the original script will only 'detect' active plugins that have 2048 or fewer form id's.
the script from this mod "Find plugins which could be turned into ESL.BOF.BEES.pas" will detect all active plugins that have 4096 or fewer form id's.
the NOCELLS version ("Find plugins which could be turned into ESL.BOS.BEES.NOCELLS.pas") will detect all active plugins that have 4096 or fewer form id's, but will not display any plugins that have cells.
So essentially, yes the new script will detect plugins that have 1 to equal-to-or-more than 2048 form ids, and less-than-or-equal to 4096 form ids.
remember that the plugins should have the HEDR version set to v1.71 first, then reload xEdit.
awesome, thank you so much for this! im at 5150 mods so im pretty reliant on ESL's lmao. ive got my esp/esm downs to 233 active to excited to see what happens with this installed!
Regarding installation instructions: The script should go into your xedit "edit scripts" folder. Not into the basegame folder, unless that is where you installed xEdit.
