Update 1.2 includes a fix for the cubemap texture paths. Thanks to LeanWolf for reporting that! Please give them some kudos!
Update 2nd May '24
Hey everyone!
Update 1.1. is now up. Here are the changes:
1) Inventory menu orientation change. 2) Dragonfly in a jar (also TMD jars supported in Optional Files). 3) An alt version with wings horizontal at rest. 4) A fix for the missing environment map textures from the dartwing ingredient.
Thanks for checking out the mod! I hope you dig the new dragonflies. I've environment-mapped the dragonfly eyes. They look fine in my game (I use ENB cube maps), but if you find some oddness, I can offer a version with the environment mapping toned down. Photos and videos of the mod are very welcome. Thank you!
Unfortunately for me, the wings either show up partially, or they are invisible. Also depending on the angle I'm standing at, it can make it slightly better or worse, but they still never appear completely, like in the screen shots below. It's the same for the horizontal version.
I hope there's a way this can be fixed, so the wings show up completely. THANKS
Here I thought I would never find a mod to match, and possibly even surpass, aviform's Improved Dragonfly. Fantastic model Would this also affect Inigo's Mr. Dragonfly?
Thank you! You're absolutely right, I forgot to add the cubemaps for the ingredient variants. The flying ones have them. I'll add them when I update the mod to include the dragonfly in a jar. That should be in the next day or so. Thanks for the heads up.
I've fixed the cubemap in the new update. Thanks again for the post!
Great! Err.. *cough* the eye cubemaps on all meshes are set to textures\clutter\common\bleakfallscube_e.dds, but should that not be textures\cubemaps\bleakfallscube_e.dds? Sorry if I'm mistaken here..
Oh boy, I'm not having any luck with these cubemaps! Thanks for letting me know. Fixing this (finally) gave me a chance to take another look at the cubemaps and to make some changes. The ingredient dartwing now uses a different cubemap from the live dartwings. My reasoning is that live ones are outside (so use an outside cubemap) and the dead ones are often bought or made into potions inside (and hence use the bleakfalls cube). I've also notched down the environment map scale as it was a bit over the top. I'll have the update up in a bit.

The screen shots look amazing!
I noticed you mentioned you are using ENB cube maps, I'm assuming you meant ENB Dynamic Cubemaps? I'm using ENB Dynamic Cubemaps along with Capture Warmer (Dynamic Cubemaps)

Is it intentional that their eyes have environment shaders set but no cubemap?
