This makes Bryling available as a follower after becoming Thane of Haafingar and completing The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller. If you have also completed either The Wolf Queen Awakened or the Civil War on the Stormcloak side, she becomes available as a marriage candidate.
Her follower and marriage dialog options become available about one in-game day after completing the quest requirements.
Her stats are changed as follows:
- Class: CombatWarrior1H (actually unchanged – she is this class in vanilla)
- Combat Style: csHumanBoss1H (heavy armor sword & board, same as Lydia in vanilla)
- Level: 10-50, levels at 1x with the PC
- Status: Essential (unchanged – she is essential in vanilla)
- Health: +50 to make her on par with other standard followers
- Perks: Light Foot, so she doesn’t trigger traps
- Gear: As a stay-at-home spouse she doesn’t need any. As your follower, you’re her rich new sponsor. She needs good heavy armor, a sword and a shield. She’s decent with a bow too. I’m sure Bierand will be happy to supply you with whatever she needs.
Installation
Uses a FOMOD to choose between:
- A version that should be compatible with all NPC replacers but requires ConsoleUtilsSSE (or ConsoleUtilsSSE-NG).
- A version that uses an ESL-flagged ESP to modify her game data. This version doesn't need ConsoleUtilsSSE, but will likely conflict with appearance replacers.
Uninstallation
It's best not to uninstall during a save. If you are determined to, bring up the console and type help TAJ_FollowerBrylingQuest. Then type completequest <formID> where <formID> is the value shown by the help command; it will be of the form FExyz800 where xyz will be 3 hexadecimal digitis. Then wait 24 hours, save, exit, uninstall.
