About this mod

Dragons bring with them an ominous dark weather when attacking. ESPFE.

Changelogs
This mod does more or less what it says on the tin.  When a dragon attacks, the sky will gradually darken and remain dark until you kill the dragon or leave the area.  Non-hostile dragons like Paarthurnax won't have this effect.

I've also added an option to have the ominous weather start showing up on its own if enough time passes since encountering your first dragon (Alduin, if you used the standard vanilla start, or the first dragon to proc the weather if not).  With this option on, the weather will start by getting dark and spooky for a few minutes around midnight, then gradually extend the time that it covers if you leave the main quest undone.  It's possible for the weather to stay dark 24/7 if you configure it that way in the MCM and wait long enough.

Compatibility

I think this mod shouldn't outright conflict with anything.  It's possible something could get weird with the visuals if something else overrides the weather, but nothing should break, the dark weather just might go away for a few seconds if a dragon uses the meteor shout or similar.  The weather also might not work 100% properly with Alduin at the start of the game!  It won't break the scene, but the darkness might go away after the player enters the keep (essentially there seems to be some backend sleight of hand that happens with the Alduin enemy around this time which makes this mod think he's gone entirely if the timing is wrong).

If you do have any trouble with the mod, it can be deactivated and re-activated from the MCM at any time.  There is also a reset option to clear the weather if it gets stuck on for any reason.

Requirements & Recommendations

SPID is required for this mod.  (It's used to add an ability to dragons that triggers the weather effect.)  PapyrusUtil is not required, but if you have it settings in the MCM can be automatically saved for the next time you start a new game.

I also highly recommend Apoapse's Appalling Alduin or Aurbic Alduin for extra creepiness.

Credit is owed to Darkrim and End Times for inspiring this mod!  Although I didn't end up using assets from either of them, I wouldn't have come up with the idea on my own.  :)
