About this mod

Covers Skyrim in a pitch-black abyss. Play through Skyrim blind again!

Changelogs
Tired of worrying about LODs?
Find the weathers of Skyrim bland?
Don't you miss your first time playing the game, completely blind and not knowing what could happen next?

FEAR NOT!

For Darkrim solves all of these problems with one simple solution! When you start the game with Darkrim installed, the sky will vanish and the land will be encased in a dark void. Without a torch or spell, you will be blind to everything around you.
Never again will you find yourself too familiar with the land of Skyrim!
Return to the exciting feeling of a blind playthrough again!

Compatibility

Should be compatible with just about everything, I'd stay away from most weather mods though. Works great alongside the post-apocalyptic mod Shattered!

Credits

MASSIVE thanks to Scrabbulor and EXIT for their creation and assistance regarding the script for this mod! I probably would've given up on the idea without their help.

Known Issues:

Helgen
The intro at Helgen is all sorts of weird, but it's tolerable. Just wait an hour (in-game) after leaving the keep for the first time and the darkness will arrive. Alternatively wait until after the intro to install the mod, it shouldn't have much of an issue being installed mid-save.

"The sky is back!"
Worry not, this can usually be fixed by waiting an hour. Let me know if this doesn't fix the problem, though.

Nighteye
Unfortunately the vanilla Nighteye is more of a shader than anything else, so Khajiit do not have an upper hand in travelling the abyss.

Dungeons
Dungeons are not affected by the darkness. This can make things awkward, but using a mod that makes dungeons darker alongside Darkrim might solve the issue.

Grass

It looks a little weird when using a light source. This is purely a problem with how the game handles ambient lighting, I'm looking into fixing it but for now it doesn't impact much. It just looks ugly.

Dawnguard's Plot
Nothing major, it just won't make sense with the mod installed. Pretend they're talking in metaphors I guess lol.
