When i try to create a bash patch with this mod wyre bash reports the error "unrecognized version". Does anyone know what this means? Is it a problem to include it in the bash patch?
Feature request: If at all possible, it would be very useful if the mod could log any dialogue that happens near the player, silent dialogue, and things NPCs say when you first interact, but before you choose a dialogue option. As I mentioned in another comment, this could be incredibly valuable to catch passerby comments that start quests but we didn't hear them, as well as interesting tidbits, like the argument between the guy and his wife in Whiterun that you get a "fetch the item" quest from, and important things our followers may talk over. (And the follower's comments as well, very cool for backstory from our custom followers.) I have no idea if this is possible, but it would be great. It would help us keep track of important information, and be a real boon for those of us who have memory issues. It's something I've been wanting for years, but every thread I find with someone asking for it was a dead end. You're already known for making a lot of great ease and accessibility mods, this would be another level of amazing if it's somehow doable. (although we'd have to pray for a way to erase or ignore repetitive comments, because by Talos, Heimskr never shuts up!) Thanks for your great mods!
I'm doing a playthrough with a handful of chatty followers (Daegon & Kaeserius, Inigo, Daumbra, etc.), and I'd love to catch all their bickering and interacting :)
I have found that when I go to use this mod, it is almost always for the kinds of interactions that the OP mentioned, and they are not there. However; I can see there could be challenges with that implementation.
I also desire this feature, especially since my follower options now are:
1. miss what they say because they're too far 2. miss what everyone says because they're all talking over each other 3. get lucky 4. use a mod that mutes almost everything everyone says and just miss out in a different way
I don't know anything about modding, but what I was thinking is that there are subtitles for every line every NPC and follower says, and those display on screen, so maybe there would be a way to capture when those are played and add them to the dialogue history.
I'm using this with controller and it works well. The only issue I have is scrolling the dialogue window on pad. What is supposed to be used on pad to scroll that? Perhaps my unpaused menus is messing with it.
There seems to be a bug in Skyrim that subtitles won't disappear after combat. Some bandits die saying "Ugh" and this does not disappear. I hope you could somehow find a solution for this with SKSE.
This is working in Enderal SE since version 1.1.2, thanks for the update!.
I have a question involving the mod settings. It doesn't appear in MCM for me (probably some more weirdness involving Enderal), so I was attempting to change the controls through the settings.ini file. Is there something I can reference for setting the controls? The key codes aren't the ones I'm familiar with.
I found an applicable key code sheet: Keyboard Scan Codes Seriously an amazing mod for anyone who spends extended periods of time away from a playthrough.
Например sFont = Futura_Book-Normal Regular.ttf Квадраты/кракозябры пропали
For those who use the Untarnished UI and Dialogue History - Untarnished UI Patch in the \mods\Untarnished UI\interface\ImGuiIcons\Fonts folder, replace Futura Book Regular.ttf with any other Cyrillic font.If you have installed a font with a different name, then in mods\Untarnished UI\interface\DialogueHistory\fonts.ini, replace all sFont with the new font name. For example sFont = Futura_Book-Normal Regular.ttfThe squares/crabs are gone
Works great with vanilla dialogue. Does not work with Herika or Mantella AI mods though. Would be cool if it could work for them maybe in the future. Thank you!
I'm thoroughly enjoying the mod! However, I have a question. I've noticed that in the German version of Skyrim, characters such as ä, ö, ü, and ß are replaced with question marks. I suspect this is due to the default font lacking support for these characters. I really love the default font though, I'm wondering if there are any plans to add support for these characters in the future?
Are you sure there's no other mod overwriting FontConfig.txt? Check your skyrim.ini and see if this exists [Fonts] sFontConfigFile=Interface\FontConfig.txt
Another german user had the same issue with PhotoMode's fonts, but he wasn't able to resolve his issue.
Ok, my bad UntarnishedUI had a fontconfig.txt. Even though the validNameChars are correct in that fontconfig.txt, I just tried deleting only the fontconfig.txt in the UI Mod, now it works flawlessly.
Also, [Fonts] sFontConfigFile=Interface\FontConfig.txt didn't exist, so I added it. It worked out of curiosity since I wasn't sure if it was UntarnishedUI or this that fixed it. I removed it again; it made no difference, so in the end, the issue was UntarnishedUI's fontconfig, I think. Just out of curiosity, I also tried this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/115250?tab=description but this just made umlauts not work again. So i just deleted the fontconfigs.txt from the UntarnishedUI again.
Anyways, it works now, thank you very much!
Edit: Just tried it, this also fixed umlaut to work with Photomode's UI
Same!!! I play in Spanish, so characters like these: á, é, í, ó, ó, ú, ¿, ¡ are only shown as question marks (?), if I deactivate the FontConfig.txt of Untarnished UI the characters in Dialogue history are shown correctly. Did you find a solution other than deleting fontconfig.txt? How it looks with Untarnished UI

If that doesn't work, replace the font used with Arial, or something and see if it works.
validNameChars: "`1234567890-=~!@#$%^&*():_+QWERTYUIOP[]ASDFGHJKL;'ZXCVBNM,./qwertyuiop{}\\asdfghjkl;'zxcvbnm<>?|¡¢£¤¥¦§¨©ª«®¯°²³´¶·¸¹º»¼½¾¿ÄÀÁÂÃÅÆÇÈÉÊËÌÍÎÏÐÑÒÓÔÕÖ×ØÙÚÛÜÝÞßàáâãäåæçèéêëìíîïðñòóôõö÷øùúûüýþ ÿ"
I then attempted to switch to Arial, the desired font change worked, but umlaut characters still displayed as questionmarks. Interestingly, employing an invalid font yielded the desired outcome, allowing umlauts to display correctly, though that causes iSize to be ignored.
