    1.2 update:
I have added a patch for the mod Book of Shadows. Face masks and Smoke bombs now have their own crafting manuals. These manuals can be bought from Tonilia at the Thieves Guild. They do not drop from chests.

    1.1 update:
I have added patches for the following armors:
Colovian Prince Set - drops at level 19
Infantry armor - drops at level 4
Kvetchi Mercenary - drops at level 4
Mythic Dawn Armor - drops at level 30

These armors now have their own crafting manuals. Should be safe to update.
Do note that the patches are based on the fixes made by Xtudo so make sure to download his fixes.
Making a bashed patch or forwarding the changes is highly recommended if you want to obtain the new manuals from chests.

I was thinking today about mods like this, lol. Just return to modding Skyrim and I'm  eager to try this mod. Maybe on the next update, add crafting item schematics to vendors for player to buy instead of looting them in chests?

Hi, this is a very interesting mod ! Thanks for sharing!

    I was wondering..

Do you see any incompatibilities if used together with mods such as Simple Smithing Overhaul or Tinkerer?

I'd also like to port this mod onto Xbox, hence I am also interested in knowing how compatible it is with other crafting overhauls and whether it could benefit from patches that I'd try to make :)

I took a quick look at both mod pages and it seems only the recipe consistency changes from Simple Smithing Overhaul would conflict with my mod. Anything that touches the recipe records of the items listed on the front page (everything from iron to daedric) would need to be patched. Fortunately it's just simply forwarding the condition I added so patching it wouldn't be much of a problem. I've already patched CCOR as that one is the most popular smithing mod currently.

Feel free to port it to Xbox, no objections here.

Always thought it would be cool if you could only craft something after you broke it down...like you would gain a certain % of crafting knowledge every time you broken it down...and after breaking down a few would be able to craft it.

CCOR has that for a few types of items, like Draugr.

Only vanilla items and the mods mentioned on the front page are using the new system. Items added by other mods will have to be patched in. This means that those items will just appear on the crafting menu as normal.

maybe a zedit script patcher could work?

can use Hephaestus - Crafting and Economy Overhaul which has similar idea but use synthesis patcher

It seems that one relies on the player having the recipe constantly in their inventory in order to craft stuff, resulting in some inventory bloat, which is what I wanted to avoid. My mod uses a different kind of system so that particular patcher, or similar ones, most likely wouldn't work on my mod. I'm no expert in synth patchers though.

Could you tell me what option I need to check in Wyre Bash? Thank you!

I always use SSEEDIT to make my bashed patches as it gives me more control over everything. Here's a simple Wyre Bash step by step guide taken from the Step Modifications forum if you prefer Wyre Bash more:
      1. Run Wrye Bash
      2. See that all plugins are checked. (You could untic such plugins as Dyndolod, FNIS and such but i have never had any issue selecting all plugins.)
      3. Right click on Bashed Patch eand select rebuild.
      4. Only select Leveled Lists
      5. See that Automatic is checked (remove empty sublists should be unchecked)
      6.Build Patch
      7. Check your new patch in xEdit if needed

It's very nice to see one of my most appreciated features of Enderal ported to Skyrim in some way. Thanks for this mod.
