ABOUT
I've been going through all my old mods and updating them in high poly.
This is my rendition of Joan of Arc from written descriptions of her. She was executed for her claimed visions and the heresy of maintaining the appearance of a boy, both in hairstyle and clothing. According to her, she did so because she just felt like it. Today, the stupid would be crucifying her as "woke".
Records from the time indicate she was "resurrected" after her execution. The Church eventually beatified her as St. Joan. From what I've read, this is reserved for those who have performed a miracle, and being witnessed by people she knew well, including her family, after she was burned at the stake, would certainly qualify as that. Although today the Catholic church says she was canonized for being a virgin...oh, right. Guess there weren't any of those in France back then!
Her name was constantly being misspelled in official records. My understanding is her Father's family name is commonly listed as either Darc, Tarc, Tart and any number of variations in written records. Joan referred to herself in letters as Jeanne la Pucelle (Joan the Maiden). The French know her as Jeanne (Joan) D'Arc (Of Arc). Anyway, she is one of the most fascinating strong female figures of all time, and I find her story extremely interesting. Poor peasant girl convinces her King that she can lead his failed army to victory, after being repeatedly shot down - I mean, SOMETHING divine must be at work here.
TECHNICAL
Location is the Ivarstead Vilemyr Inn
She has a custom underwear body and outfit manager by me. She automatically changes into armor when in follower mode, and back to her default peasant clothes (also custom, by me) when you dismiss her
She has a saintly glow about her. If it gets on your nerves, take away her ring when in follower mode
She is voiced in French with English subtitles. If you can't read English, move on, I love her voice as is
Plugin is flagged as esl (espfe)
She has a healing ability for you and your party (non scripted)
Her voice type is added to the required form lists automatically at runtime. This avoids an issue the old version had where other mods could overwrite the same lists and break her voice
Wears the same armor as my Danika mod. Would have liked to include something different, but finding medieval style armor with open permissions on Nexus, and/or mod authors that will actually respond to me, is like the same chance of success as winning the lottery
