This was made to patch Maple Manor with Masmers, as a replacement for the (first option) player home there. But fear not non-Masmers! Because this also includes a version which simply replaces the interior of Maple Manor as it is in the original mod.

This has always been my absolute favorite player home, but since releasing Masmer's I have grown accustomed to the systems I have in place in those homes. So this was made to blend the two mods together and bring the Masmer home functionality to Maple Manor. At the same time as adding this, the home has been completely rebuilt (had to utilize the interior cell from Masmers for ease of accommodating quest functionality). Some areas have been redecorated, while others remain exactly as they were in the original MM mod.

Since I have been unable to test this time on anything but my own installation, I can not speak to compatability with AE/VR and whatever we're calling the newest CCC (CreationClub Clusterf***)? Because of this, I still consider it to be a beta release. But as far as I've been able to test everything works as intended, if folks can let me know about compatability with other game versions then I will update as I learn more!

Core Changes

    • Enchanters Tower interior cell  is now part of the same cell as the main manor, connected via a new hallway which connects through what was the second children's room.
    • Attic interior cell has been removed, since the multikid option doesn't really align with my requirements so it was not needed for my designs. But there is scope to add it if there is demand.
    • Cellar extra interior cell (the crafting area and treasury) has been removed, all that functionality is now in the basement of the main manor.
    • To offset the increased load (on an already demanding interior), the whole cell has been heavily occlussioned. On my tests, it was passable with no more jittering during fast turns than the original mod. But I can't guarantee results for everyone's individual setups
    • Completely rebuilt navmesh
    • Enchanters Tower staircase and upper floor rebuilt. I don't know why, but I always used to get stuck on the invisible collision objects that made up the spiral staircase here (maybe it's my short characters, idk...). But in any case, I used a different version of the same resource in Masmers so the staircase here is rebuilt using that which - for me at least - can be traversed more easily.
    • The internal load door from the hobby room to the guest rooms beneath the library has been removed and replaced with a link corridor
    • The mezzanine level of the library is now accessible (once you unlock the feature)
    • Home is still Hearthfires adoption & spouse friendly (tested with the 'bless home' ability from Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions), even the Masmer version so you can finally have your spouse and children living in Calastai with you!
    • LotD dependancy has been removed since it is mostly replaced by the functionality from Masmers (there is still an optional patch which relinks the dresser drawers in the bedroom to the outfit selections from the Safehouse).

New features

  • To begin, the home starts as a virtually empty shell. It is decorated / unlocked through investment (5k intervals up to 50k, then 10k intervals up to 100k gold at present) which can be placed into your treasury at the safe in the library (or the basement treasury once you unlock access)
    Treasury Items
    Spoiler:
    Show

The treasury will recognize Gold, Dibella statues, silverware and gold/silver ingots

  • New arts & crafts workstations can be used to make decoration items (upon completion of the associated quest*). These include paint mixing, easel, spinning wheel (animated) and pottery wheel (animated).
*If using the Tamriel version, this is automatically toggled on so you do not need to complete the Masmer quest to access the crafting systems

  • Over 200 unique decorations can now be unlocked through the crafting systems! This includes paintings (all new, and many made to showcase different mods from around the Nexus), tapestries, pottery & vases, curtains and banners.

  • EVG Animated Traversal is HIGHLY recommended to make full use of accessibility features included here, which you will need in order to decorate at high levels like in the main entrance hall. For those who do not wish to use it however, there are versions of the home which use localized load doors as an alternative.
  • Taxidermy has been introduced for you to build the mounted heads. But since I know this isn't to everybody's taste the option is disabled by default. When you unlock through investment you will find an activator on the upper level of the reception hall which can be used to turn the feature on or off

  • The home utilizes dynamic storage displays. All special containers - like those used for weapons and armour - visually fill up / empty depending if they hold any content. This does not vary depending on what content they hold, but is predetermined by the intended use.

  • There are some special named containers for ‘Tools’, ‘kitchen cupboard’, ‘maps’ and ‘drinks cabinet’, which will display additional items around the home subject to what is placed in them.
    Toolbox Items
    Spoiler:
    Show
The toolbox will enable various displays depending on it's contents: baskets, bloody rag, broom, buckets, fittings, hinges, locks, nails, clothes iron, essence extractor, torture tools, draw knife, ash extractor, centurion cores, dwemer cog-gear-gyro, lanterns, lockpicks, pitchforks, embalming tools, oars, shovels, spigots, broken weapon pieces, bellows, hammer, tongs, saw
    Kitchen Items
    Spoiler:
    Show
The kitchen cupboards will unlock display items based on: basic cutlery, tankards, flagons, wooden plates/bowls/ladles, cast iron pots, silverware (and bloody variants) initiates ewer, dwemer cookware, nordic pots etc, glazed and metal cookware, empty wine bottles
    Drinks Cabinet
    Spoiler:
    Show
The drinks cabinet will display from any vanilla and DLC alcoholic drink
    Maps
    Spoiler:
    Show
The map will display from all vanilla and DLC treasure maps

  • Your Manor can be further customized (in select areas) by crafting a special linen set. When placed, this can be used to change bedding and soft furnishings in the area to your colour of choice. See images tab for examples.

  • Once sufficiently invested in, Valaer will move her shipping cart there so you can fill it up and sell your unwanted loot to her whenever you want. She will even do this if you live in the Tamriel version! Partially because she likes you so much, but mostly because I didn't bother to delink the function...

  • There are special boosted crafting areas for alchemy/enchanting, and blacksmithing. The magical crafting area will - when sufficiently invested in - have an option to activate the laboratory experiments to gain a boost to crafting while in the area (or activate the magical orb light in the upper level). Similarly, the blacksmith forge (which is all fully unlocked to all vanilla and dlc crafting keywords) has a small puzzle element which can unlock the same feature for that areas.

  • There are a number of special ‘player’ mannequins, which can be activated and interacted with through their pedestals (they can also be reskinned in game back to default).

  • At higher levels of investment, you gain the ability to invite friends over for dinner. Who you can invite will depend who you have earned sufficient favour with from the quests. Successfully hosting a dinner party will grant you a special perk. (This feature won't likely work with the Tamriel version since it is tied to the Masmer questline, but it might still - currently not tested that far!)

  • There are many interactive features such as bathing, interactive objects, and lots of safe storage. One thing to be aware of is that on some static furniture items (i.e. most desks) where you see multiple drawers/cupboards; these are all setup as individual containers, not just one big box for the whole furniture item. Such containers are all safe storage, but do not link to any displays. Only uniquely named storage displays items.

  • Children's and Guest rooms will not automatically fill up with investment. This is largely to reduce cell load for those who do not wish to utilize the rooms, or to keep them clear for those who want to decorate themselves with Jaxonz! Instead with each of these, once you hit the required investment level you will see an option when approaching the doorway which will allow you to toggle the room decoration on/off.

  • Some furniture items give animated idles to the player like reading/writing, and there are many invisible activators all around the place which can be used by the player too. Further to this, some work like the cafe tables from Masmers where the table remains empty and is only filled up when it is used (and then reset once the cell is unloaded).

Installation

Nothing special here, just install requirements and then install this. All options are contained within the fomod so just choose the version that works for you.
