About this mod

Adds more of the vanilla voice types to the follower dialogue form lists. (Mostly useful as a modders resource)

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of using the same three voice types for all my followers, especially when I have to do some big follower packs.

The vanilla follower system is voice-based so there's not much of a workaround if you want to give different voices to your followers: you either make a new follower framework from scratch, mess with the vanilla scripts, or use some other mods like Relationship Dialogue Overhaul or Follower Voicetypes Expanded.

Now if you already use any of those two, you don't need this mod. You can leave now, and have a nice day.

But if you don't use them for whatever reason, this is just a quick fix I put together, mainly because of my other mod Heroes of the Wade, where some NPCs use voices that normally don't have follower functionality (Alizaa for example), and since I needed a way to make them work even without other mods dependencies, I came up with the most painless way to do so.

WARNING: THERE ARE NO VOICEFILES YET

For now I only did Hadvar's voice as an experiment (generated with Xvasynth), but the number of voices and lines needed to give audio to everyone would be on the hundreds and at the moment I can't take on such a task, so I'll probably only do a few of the voices I need for my mods.

So, what does this do?
It simply adds to the followers Form Lists the extra vanilla voices that were not included before.
This tells the game that any NPC with that voice can have follower dialogue if it's in the right factions, so it will generate the dialogue and fire all the scripts needed for the followers to work.
This will also grant the compatibility with other follower frameworks based on the vanilla quests (I tested with Nether's and it seems to be working fine).
In this sense this is more of a modders resource than and actual mod that does anything in your game. It's supposed to be used as a support for other follower mods.

Added voices:
(I picked most of the generic voices and a few unique, but I might add more in the future if you have some specific request)

But there's is no audio so what's the point in choosing another voice type?
A mute dialogue is better than no dialogue, and beside the generic follower lines, the NPCs will still have all the idle dialogue, random comments, fight shouts, etc. of any other NPC with that same voice, so it won't be completely silent.
Just consider that if you do a whole new voice from scratch you'll have to generate all those voice lines yourself and it can be very time consuming.
But in case you want to go that way, I got you covered.

If RDO and FVE already do this and better since they have audio, why you did this?
Because not everyone wants to use those mods and I wanted to give a lightweight and absolutely not intrusive alternative.
RDO is old and has not been updated or patched in a long while.
FVE requires Extended Follower Framework as a master so it won't work with other frameworks.
This little mod here instead doesn't have any requirements, it works with any version of Skyrim SE/AE, and pretty much doesn't affect your game, since it only changes a list of voices, so it should be compatible with anything really.

I installed the mod but Brynjolf doesn't have the follower dialogue you promised!!!
Because that's not what I promised. Please read the description again. This mod only gives you the option to create a new follower using Brynjolf's voice or any other of the extra voices added to the list. It's more helpful if you are a modder, than a regular user.
BUT, thus said, if you use follower frameworks or console commands, you could technically force-recruit or add any NPC to the the follower factions (and set relationship rank to 2) and have the follower dialogue pop-out for them.

How can we get the voice files?
To be honest, I don't know what the stance on using AI to recreate the voice actors voices is at the moment, and I don't want people to report my mods or get angry, even if in this case it would be adding lines that are already in the game, and others have already been doing it for years.
Anyway.
I added a RTF file to the mod (or you can read the Articles section) with all the lines required and the file names, so if anyone has time to spare and wants to give it a go, it would make the process a bit easier. Permissions are open, you have my blessing.
I'll try to add some of the ones I specifically need when the stars are favorable and the time is abundant.
