In the vanilla game, there is only one breed of dog in the whole of Skyrim. In my opinion, this is boring, and I do not particularly care for the vanilla greyhound model. This mod seeks to alleviate the sameness of dogs in Skyrim playthrough to playthrough by introducing about 9 medium to large sized breeds of dog. 

As a companion to this mod, I recommend this mod by gg77 Dogs of the Jarls, which gave me the idea for this mod, as well as the source of a great deal of the meshes and textures included in this mod. As another honorable mention, Real Rabbits HD - SPID Edition, and its parent mod, Real Rabbits HD which I used as inspiration for the implementation of this mod. I learned a great deal about the game and how it handles assets through this process!
 
The breeds included in this mod are,

How the mod works, so there's no questions about compatability:

I created various "shells", skins to overwrite the original dog meshes and textures essentially. These "shells" are then distributed via spell perk item distributor with a spell, the spell activates on a new game and each member of the "DogRace" and "DogCompanionRace" + whatever races you add, get a new skin which is then equipped as an "armor". This means that any mod that adds dogs is going to be compatible, as almost every single mod that adds dogs is going to use the "DogRace" or "DogCompanionRace". 

If you DON'T want a dog affected by the mod, open the DISTR file and add a ",-[name of NPC]" next to the "DogRace", very simple. 

Also a sidenote want to know how dogs know they can bark? It is from the dog foostep sound effect, which is silly. Took a while to figure that one out. 

Bug Reports:

If you spot a bug, or something that does not seem right, please click on the dog in question, type showinventory in the console and press enter, and post a screenshot. If you do not do this I can't really fix the issue!

Installation:

Simple, the main file with your mod manager of choice, or if you're installing manually install to the data folder. If you install manually I will not provide support however.
