Hello all, I just uploaded an updated version with 3 new Hot springs added in locations I hope you will enjoy and add even more variety of landscape to soak in ;)
There are some issues with the water tiles showing the edge or seam where water tiles meet in some locations, and I am looking into fixing that. If you know a solution to this I would welcome your input either here or PM me; right now I cannot correct that in CK. The heat sources I created according to the tutorial by Chesko always have been an issue for Frostfall users and now apparently the latest version of it uses a different method anyway. I plan to look into adapting my mod to work with the latest Frostfall. I hope you can still enjoy my mod in spite of those issues and thank you for your endorsements!
Are there any NPC's by these pools... and are there clothes stripping scripts enabled for them? Asking because I used a mod a while back that had that.
Placing Cutting Room Floor.esp after Hotsprings of Skyrim.esp solved the clipping issue at Nightgate Inn.
Heat source version not compatible with the CC Survival Mode. Heat source version works 100% with SunHelm - a million times better can the CC variant anyway.
Now I can enjoy hot springs as much as I do in real life :)
As somebody with a geology background irl I actually agree there could be more hot springs in Skyrim (among other changes...). Some of the locations for hot springs are a bit iffy, but the sentiment is the right one.
Frostfall compatibility was included in the mod, but is not working. To fix it:
Open the mod in TES5edit, and under Static change the right click on the record for XXCC0E0A CampfireHeatSourceOverrideWarm amd change the FormID to 01CC0E0A.
This will pop up a dialogue saying that Update.esm needs to be added to Hot Springs of Skyrim as a master. Click OK.
A new dialogue will pop up that says Please select records to update. Check all the checkboxes and click OK (these are the records that were pointed at the old FormID we just changed). The message on the dialogue will change to say These Records have been successfully updated. Click OK.
Close TES5Edit and save changed files. Done. The heat sources will now work.
Thank you for this! Any chance this will also allow it to work for SunHelm? Sounds like yes. I'm going to test but wondered if anyone else had already done the legwork.
Hello again. I recently contacted you about including Hot Springs in my Living World Bundle thats upcoming on xbox. ;)
I was just wondering something. The hot springs themselves. It looks like they do have steam coming off them. Lol I suppose they wouldn't be much of a hot spring otherwise. Doh. But I was wondering, does your mod use the vanilla steam textures/meshes or are they custom?
I would think they use the vanilla files since there are no bsas or loose files in the mod file but I wanted to be sure. Thanks again. ;)
Would you ESL flag this, if possible. Please I used this for a while and really like it, but had to thin out my plugins because I'm hitting the limit. Thanks for sharing.
I only heard of that process recently and am not familiar with it yet. I may look into that in future for my own interest, but right now I have too much on my plate to delve into that. I recently started over on a new PC and found I can do with allot less than I thought. Had 244 mods before I thought I could not live without, now I build up to 109 and have a set up that is just right. Maybe start from scratch instead of reducing...
@SailorBob13, you don't have to place the burden of your load order on mod authors, nor wait/hope for them to make light plugins. Merging plugins will allow you more plugin slots than you could ever possibly need or want. I'm running around 1,800 mods/plugins right now. At 1,800 I'm nowhere near the practical limit for merging. Check out this video as a starting point, and there's lots of other info out there as well (like Discord). The process is pretty simple. Happy merging!
Sorry, @Kursan, life is too short for fewer mods! Thanks to your mod I have one more reason to love modding in Skyrim!
I THINK this might have some incompatibility with Skyrim Reborn editing similar cities (Stone Mills). I got some crashes, went away when I uninstalled THAT mod, only to find a nice spring.
That is quite possible though I am not sure why that would be since my mod is not near any cities, unless it places something by Stonehills and Nightgate Inn. Those should be the only springs that are near a settlement. There are so many mods that I cannot keep up with what works.

Not gonna install it again to see which it was.
