I LOVE THIS! Thanks so much for your hard work! The feel I get when seeing these textures is a sci/fi retro feel. I agree with the comments that this breathes new life into 12 year old game. This was much needed and will stay in my load order for a long time! THANK YOU!

I wish I had found this last week before I set out to replace the nordic ruins textures.
It's pretty much exactly what I was looking for (the cathedral style ones anyway).

Ignore all the "it's not lore friendly" comments, this is a 12 year old game and some of the assets are starting to look really sad, sometimes all it takes to revitalise a game is to spruce up the paint job.
The nordic retex I mentioned earlier has taken me from absolutely hating the nord ruins, rejecting them in disgust to actually looking for excuses to interact with them more.
I have no doubt your mod will do the same for a bunch of people wanting to visit dwemer buildings.
    Well done

This is very interesting... Im glad you are very transparent about your process and goals. I think someone could use this. My hope is that someone sees this and takes it a bit further, creating meshes that would aesthetically fit the new materials adding to the kit. I think this would be an interesting usecase for mods outside of the TES canon, like Enderal, or any of the unfinished starwars projects. There was a kotor era total conversion from a while back that im pretty sure is dead, but maybe their progress can be salvaged by a different team and made into something substantial.. Just some ideas. Like most things from this community, just close your eyes and wait to be surprised, shut out hope and expectations, just let it happen. lol

Oh, this is fantastic! It definitely looks like upkeep has been well maintained. I just wish I had enough vRAM to use this as is in my non-VR playthrough.

This looks really good albeit a bit too clean, the dwarves have been gone for over 1000 years so I would think their ruins would look ruined.

well that depends, on some mods there are dwemer ruins supposedly perfectly conserved (by the automatons) and in these they might fit perfectly, for Xam excellent mod for example (and yes, I'm mad enought of change textures if they fit better the mod I'm playing even several times during the same mod playthrough :)
I'm not that bored of the work one can find in nexus, the new pipework mod brought much of new life for the dwemers spots, but of course I am very interested in anything new, I'm downloading and gonna try soon!
      p.s. (after installing)
lol this is huge change!I don't like the white-ish pipeworks BUT I love all the decorations, the colors, the mosaics (they give me some very cool babylonian feelings, even if I can't say i'm an expert of the real history and art of Babylonia): fantastic work! Many thanks

That's a good point, the standard dwarven spider is called a worker so they have probably kept the ruins somewhat kept. Although, the ceramic and marble tile stone would be aged I would think.

Man, they can put souls in robots... you think they can't keep marble ? :P I think it's just a matter of preferences to want them aged or not. I personally like to change so, the more diversity the better, the more switch/rotations of textures and meshes.

One texture I had to replace tho, it is unwatchable dwestonefloor04.dds and dwerockdesigns01.dds. I mean, watched in XnView they are cool and the tubes seem even 3D, but in game they are disturbingly 2D, I think that even parallax can't fix that, so I replaced those with the METAL ones in pipework v5 mod.
I hope the author or someone else with talent will fix some seams also, dungeons look good enough, but markarth... well a bit less, there are strange seams in the columns and building parts, also floor, but anyway in the night it's looks cool anyway :P
And it would be good to have  a parallax version, complex parallax and so on. I think this material deserve to be brought to top quality.

      Spoiler:

Thank you so much for this!  Especially the open permissions :)  I'm finishing up my big ol quest mod which is very dwemer heavy. Many places are supposed to not look like the typical ruins and this should really help distinguish those areas.

Looks like something directly out of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

And I mean that as a compliment! Almost makes me wanna boot up those games for a play through.

Its got that late 90s early 2000s water artstyle goin on, its nostalgic.
