    Orlando Heljarchen Walls - Buildable Ver02 is here. Now you can craft the gates, walls and walkways at the same carpenter's workbench you used to build your house. I made it so that you do have to build the small house first before the walls and stuff will show up. Seemed to me that you should have a house before you had walls.

    Once you finish building the small house, a new category 'exterior' will appear in your menu. This is the stuff I added. I made some parts dependent on other parts being built first. For example, you have to build the gate before you can build the walls that attach to the gate or the lights that go on top of the gate. Things like that. I think that the components needed to build are fair, representative and pretty well balanced as well as the build times. Yes, building takes time. The build times are not realistic by any stretch, they are more symbolic. Also, I made all of the gates self closing (10 or 15 seconds if I remember correctly).

    I spent the last couple of days testing this out to see if I could find any problems. I could not. As I was rapidly approaching the end of my sanity, I decided to stop and upload the thing. If you happen to find any bugs, let me know.

    Orlando's Heljarchen Walls - Buildable Ver02b is here. I added the option to build a stone north wall or a dwemer north wall. You can choose one or the other. Also did some work on the outdoor crafting area. With the addition of a stone floor, blacksmith anvil, tanning rack and storage chest, it now a complete crafting zone, outside, in the snow. Fun.

    Also, when I was testing Ver02b I noticed an issue that seems to have something to do with how I've named the mod. If you are running Ver02a and have all the walls built to your liking and then install Ver02b, your walls will disappear. I've come up with a solution of sorts. If you have Ver02a and like the dwemer north wall, the only thing you need from Ver02b is the crafting area stuff. So I made that into a separate download in the 'Optional Files' section. If you have not downloaded this mod before or have Ver02a and just really want the stone north wall, download Ver02b. You get the north wall options and the crafting area builds. So the take away from all this is don't put the version number in the file name. I think.

    Heljarchen Farm updated to 2.02:

    This update restores a deleted navmesh which should resolve CTD issues many people have been experiencing around the Heljarchen Hall area.

    Sooo, after trying this, everything works now, no more CTD... but there's still a very little problem now:

    A lil' terraforming and less grass at the farm gate would be welcome, if I may. Thanks, you did great so far! :)

    Oh btw! What is this? Do you have the same? Seems to be pretty native as I didn't change anything on this area?

      For those who want to know about what I posted earlier:

      The author doesn't reply on PM. I just uninstalled the -Heljarchen farm- mod (with its patch) and everything is fine.

      For those pillars, <markfordelete> is enough as they have no use at all.

      2-1/2 years on, and the weird patch of landscape is still there.  I could probably live with the "gap in the world" seam but the explosion of ground cover drives me nuts inside the farm's walls.  Makes it look like you've just let the part of the fields behind the greenhouse go to scrub, everything's obscured or snowed over.

      I'm highly tempted to use this little glitch for a practice bed on terrain modding.  Either that or let the annoyance move me into building my own from scratch....

    Installed this one and the guards as well. Awesome work, looks fantastic.

    It would be cool to have some other workers and outbuildings, but I suppose the Heljarchen Farm just down the hill sort of addresses that. Thanks for adding that patch as well.

    Okay this is a really good mod. It provides a little extra without going over the top. I wish some of the stone walls would be a little higher, but whatever.

    I would humbly request a small guard house, however. I like the idea of hiring guards, and some other mods let you do that, but don't provide any place for them to logically sleep. Even if its just a small, vanilla-asset house with simple furnishings. I think that would be absolutely fantastic :)

    Trying to use your mod in conjunction with Heljarchen Farm and noticing clipping/uneven terrain issues. I downloaded your patch and followed the load instruction you had on your page and still having the terrain issues. Anyway to fix this or possibly update the patch? Love the mod and really want to use it along with Heljarchen Farm

    Is it only the northern gate that could be dwemer ? i kinda jumped the gun and started building without noticing the options and my last save was way before i bought the house. Love the mod btw

    it's both light and looks nice. It doesn't obscure the surrounding view since the walls are low and looks great because I'm using a very dense grass mod

    Hello! I noticed you have a patch for Heljarchen Farms. I was wondering if you had one for Thandom of Heljarchen and/or Heljarchen Hall Mine and Farm? I feel like your mod would be the perfect companion to them.

      I was working on it but got stalled. There's that big open hill side that has me frustrated. Can't seem to get anything to work there to my liking.

      If you have Lakeview pool and hot bath installed as well that forms a foundation to work with because it fills in that vacant area on the lake side

    Do not use this mod as it stands in August 2020 in conjunction with Heljarchen Farm Revamped v2.01. With or without the patch - which was made BEFORE v2.01 of the Farm even existed - the two mods together will cause CTDs at/in both locations. I have had no CTD issues since replacing this mod with the Heljarchen Hall plugin from Dracos Hearthfire Homes Exterior mod. Assuming you are reading this because you're also using Heljarchen Farm and you've experienced the same CTDs, I would recommend the you try that mod instead of this one. The motive of both mods is identical, only the aesthetic is different.

      It's a shame that authors whose goals are similar (this and the Farm) and in the same general area and over the same time period cannot be bothered to seek each other out and collaborate and avoid these issues entirely.

    I am unable to build the East Gate or wall: attempting to do so causes an instant Crash To Desktop. I can build the other three gates and walls without issue. Yes, I am also using the Heljarchen Farm mod, but it's supposed to be (mostly) compatible and I have the Heljarchen Farm Patch installed. This seems especially odd given that an eastern wall doesn't even stand between the Hall and Farm! The closest named thing that borders it is a giants' camp.

    I also can't build the Hearthfires windmill or exterior grindstone, for the same reason: instant CTD. I don't know where exactly those get built, but since I can build the stone workplace pad added by this mod I would assume that the grindstone gets placed atop that, and that too is not facing toward the Farm.

      The East Gate and wall might be conflicting with Simply Bigger Trees, since there is a tree in close proximity to where it appears from the screenshots that the gate and wall would be placed. There were also two small rock or broken-pillar piles in that area, but I removed those with markfordelete in the console. Though I have my misgivings about how Simply Bigger Trees affects visibility in the game, I have not yet decided that drawback outweighs the aesthetic benefit. I'm not even certain that is the conflict.

      So... I guess I will be having an open-door policy with my giant-folk neighbors....

      I got rid of Simply Bigger Trees for aesthetic and practical reasons having nothing to do with this issue, but since completing the Heljarchen Farm building process, I now can't enter or even fast-travel to either location. Profits from the Farm are locked away behind a guaranteed CTD no matter where/how I try to enter, even scaling a wall: the instant I drop from the wall to the inside a CTD occurs, and I can't approach Heljarchen Manor now either, and I have followers in there.

      I could cause saved-game problems, but I'm removing all parts of this mod and the Farm patch and crossing my fingers. I'd probably create far larger problem if I tried to replace Heljarchen Farm with its older version after already completing this one.

      Removing this mod eliminated the CTDs around the Farm, but in spite of the absence of this mod and patch - or perhaps now because of it or the markfordeletes I did myself trying to make the east gate behave - I'm still experiencing CTDs around the eastern exterior of the Manor, the side facing the giant's camp and not facing Heljarchen Farm. I can move freely between the two now.

      The patch offered here IS NOT useful for v2.01 of the Farm, because it was generated before that version of the Farm even existed; it is only useful for v1.47 of the Farm. Unfortunately, removing just the patch also doesn't resolve the extensive conflicts and the CTDs persist in BOTH locations until one or the other mod is removed entirely.

      Perhaps I will have better luck with Dracos Hearthfire Homes Exteriors, but I'm not hopeful.

      After removing this mod from my saved game, saving again without it, and then adding Dracos Hearthfire Homes Exterior - Heljarchen Halls Exterior Upgrades 1.5Ha, I seem to have eliminated ALL the CTD issues.

      Of course I will never get back the Hearthfire materials I wasted building everything in this mod (unless I visit the console again).
