It would be good if the statues could somehow detect if they were visible by the players field-of-view, and if not, then they were allowed to move. Hence, you would have to get through some location by keeping the statues within the players fov.
Or maybe even something completely different and not like a traditional reward, but something like a conversation with a demon or daedra from another world, or perhaps access to sovengarde. I'm more interested in the experience and exploration, rather than trinkets. I've already got chests full of them.

Seriously though, this looks like a fun puzzle quest... I wonder what kind of reward can be locked inside, beside of, you know... survival.
