Are you finding this ReShade+ENB too dark? Please read!
I have been hit up quite a few times about the reshade being too dark for nights/interiors. But, it seems to be a select few that are having an issue. I, like most of you do not like overly dark nights/interiors to where I cant see anything. I have taken time to make sure that isn't the case with this reshade. With that said, I can't take into account everyone personal monitor and of course monitor has a HUGE impact on the image you see. So first, please make sure you monitors are calibrated properly. You can check your Black Level: Black Level Test & White Level Test. Also, I used an in-game gamma of 1.0.
What about weather mods?
When using another weather mod like COT or Vivid Weathers when I created the preset I used default options. I also had no RLO or Darker Nights installed to get the right balance. So, if you use one of those weather mods I would first try without Darker Nights and/or RLO just to see how it looks. Then you can add in from there ( I will say I have been using RLO no issues with either) If you find you want different interiors or night settings (use the book for vivid to adjust to make darker or brighter or if using COT re run installer for COT and choose the additonal plugins you want such as warm interiors or darker nights)
What about RLO?
When using RLO its a lighting mod meant to make things more realistic with lighting. Its meant to be dark with no light source. So if you go into a dungeon and there is no light it will be dark. However, as I said I have been trying RLO and have had no issues so far with it being overly dark. However, if you didn't know RLO when you install it via NMM it places and RLO Option folder which has additional ESPs you can install. See here. RLO Options folder in Data and then inside is the optional ESPs RLO Optional choices ESPs just copy the options you want and install into data folder and then activate ESP in the plugin in NMM. Also please read this article by RLO author about load order other wise you will have extremely dark interiors. Here is the article: RLO load order article. Also he mentions about some bugs with RLO that will be address in V5.0 such as bright light sources and some interior cells being way to dark. Also here is a link by RLO author for mod compatibility here: RLO Mod Compatibility List
I have had many people test these out for me and provide feedback and they have not found to be extremely dark in interiors. Which if there were dark interiors the could be corrected with the correct option like RLO's Brighter Dungeons.
The ReShade on its own does make the image every so slightly darker but, no where to black out the image. I have been working hard to make this ReShade+ENB perfect for everyone and balance out the settings. But, I can only do so much with ReShade and the limits of ENB.
Ultimately, I need everyone to really check their mods and load orders before confirming that this ReShade+ENB blacks everything out. Thank you for all your support.
